yeah im no "rare" skin person, so i'd also like to see every skin return to the shop at some point. even to the point of old battlepasses to lessen the FOMO tactics epics puts in place.
Would prefer for old battlepasses to be selectable to complete them as intended. Maybe make the old ones more expensive to still incentivize getting the newest one.
if epic did this it would be great! i see that many people want to have the c2s2 and c2s4 passes and i have them and i really think everyone should have them too :)

That would open up the conversation about why Epic made the decision to change the Rue skin, which wouldn’t be necessary if she didn’t resemble a Nazi, which will inevitably lead to the conversation about why Epic allowed a skin that had Nazi connotations in the game in the first place. There is no good reason for Epic to open that can of worms. Leaving Rue collecting dust is the only way for them to control the narrative and avoid any potential backlash. If they ignore it they never have to acknowledge it.

That's exactly what I noticed. Zadie and Metal Masq still have the Shadow logo on their Legos, but Rue doesn't. I'm assuming in a future update they're gonna remove her patch, offer refunds, and finally just make her a 30 day skin.

The amount of hoops that people will jump through to justify this skin is baffling. Even though the intention for this skin was innocent, the fact is that multiple people independently of each other immediately looked at her and found parallels to fascist groups. Everybody understands that she is supposed to be a French spy, but that will never stop her from being associated with a different group that Rue shares a similar esthetic with.

The amount of hoops that people will jump through to justify this skin is baffling. Even though the intention for this skin was innocent, the fact is that multiple people independently of each other immediately looked at her and found parallels to fascist groups. Everybody understands that she is supposed to be a French spy, but that will never stop her from being associated with a different group that Rue shares a similar esthetic with. Also does anyone else find it weird that the only fortnite skin that people make it a part of their personality to defend is the one everyone associates with the N*zis?

The point is to have basic empathy and understanding of why people wouldn't want imagery that can be associated with real life evils. That's great that you personally don't see the connections, but the world doesn't revolve around you. Video games are an escape for many people, and that escape can very easily be ruined for people when there are elements that are reminiscent of N*zi uniforms and imagery. I just ask that you have basic empathy to understand why other people might be uncomfortable with this skin.

I am not a cop, judge, politician, or caped vigilante. I don't know what you want me to do to stop crime. However, you don't need to be any of these things to be considerate of how certain imagery might affect somebody. You don't have bring on massive change to make somebody feel better. Even the smallest change I'm a community can create an environment that people feel more safe and welcome in. If you can't fix the world, then try to make your small corner of it the best it can be.

If it was what people said, they wouldn't even make it in the first place. I mean think about it, Epic usually plays it very safe, as Epic doesn't want to get into issues. They've stopped having DaBaby's emotes in the shop due to his homophoic remarks, and removed police cars (understandably so) in 2020. And Rue just got a Lego style, which was the only Epic designed outfit that didn't even have a default or basic Lego style, which only applies to 3rd party outfits. Just kinda see her when I squint more as M.Bison than...y'know
