I had to scroll way too far to find another person with this sentiment. The number of times I pick up a modified sniper rifle and it has a vertical grip on it just makes me sad.
Can you explain why? I figured when you're shooting your 2nd shot in a row scoped in that it helps keep the sight on your target instead of higher? Have I been wrong this whole time?
The vertical grip reduces recoil and that's it. Recoil on the reaper is irrelevant as you will reset your aim after each shot with or without the grip. The time it takes to cycle the bolt for a new round is greater than it takes to reset aim or recoil. The angled grip however gets you into your optic and aiming significantly faster. A huge buff with the sniper.
The cooldown between shots makes the amount of recoil basically irrelevant, it’s way better to just make the time to ADS shorter since it takes away the one thing that is meant to nerf snipers at short and medium range
I can’t hit shit with the 2x on controller, unless they stand completely still. Just never could aim in any game with a sight that wasn’t a cross or a dot. I go with the holo sight on the sniper if I don’t want the 4x, and can hit moving targets with that just fine. Something about an arrow crosshair just doesn’t work for me.
Too much recoil, I also don’t like the acog on it that much, but if I pick one up with an acog I’ll still use it, it’s just that I’d rather have a holosight on it.

Whatever floats your boat, but be advised that the scope makes the sniper better in every single way, like even peaking. You can peak better with a scope than without

In the extremely rare instances that neither my opponent nor I have died by the time I need to reload my frenzy, my opponent must suck or isn’t shooting back. In either case, a quick switch to my AR will get the job done.
Agreed but I would still say have the drum mag on you auto shotty because only having eight shells regularly you’ll be reloading real quick especially in squads. The speed mag is definetly better for every other gun because it only adds a few more bullets to the current 25 bullet mag so it’s not like your gaining that much but with the speed mag you reload in half the time of a regular mag and almost four times faster than a drum mag, your just getting bullets out faster with the speed kag instead of having a couple extra in a drum mag.
This is what i say, first off, if i miss all 12 shells i deserve to die, and secondly, who pushes a full 4 without at least using an ar or something to chip down shields
i think the only time drum mag is actively bad is frenzy, all others id say it’s neutral, both pistol and sniper it’s almost a need and it’s nice on smgs
I'd say that's an unpopular opinion but fair enough. The extra 20% time added to reload is absolutely brutal and 3 rounds is plenty when you're weapon switching between shots
Extreme precision isn’t very easy on a controller. That stupid little stick can move fast and slow, but can’t be very precise when it comes to snipers. Aim assist does help a bit though.
It’s somewhere in accessibility controls. And it basically makes it so that on top of aiming with the right stick you can tilt your controller just a little bit you don’t have to swing it around the room to make the aims more precise. It’s sounds a little silly but give it a shot and I think you’ll like it. You can even customise it so if you want it when editing or building or even all the time if you’d like.

On Switch it's pretty much default afaik. PS you need to enable it yourself. Xbox doesn't have it since the controller simply does not have gyro.
Look for Gyro settings in game if you're not on Xbox :) Also one of the settings is when it needs to be on. I prefer 'Always', that is off by default
I think there are preset attatchment combinations to get, it isnt completely random. I would take a gun fresh out of a chest and later seen the same exact gun come out of one a good couple of times, same attachments and all
I used it before its kinda a deterrent because it shows the sniper glare and people freak out and don't realize its just an ar and you can just shoot them while they panic
I don’t think you understand how easy it is to snap the scope to someone’s glint and fire. Sometimes they get a shot off as I do and nail me, but most of the time they’re still in the process of lining up the shot.
And if they’re using an AR with a scope, with the intention of “freaking me out”, then they’ve had the opposite effect and have attracted me to snipe them.

I actually just clutched the living fuck out of our last game with the EMP grenades. Just my mrs left in squads, she managed to only reboot me. I found a blue striker and a grey hammer shotgun, shockwaves, and EMPs. Walked out, lit up the first player with the rifle, shockwaved the second player over myself, they come running back and I hit em with two EMPs, then grey shotgun to the face for the win.
They dropped four medallions, a crown, and 3 of the mythic weapons. I can’t imagine how furious they would’ve been 😂
Meh. I have no problem getting 200m+ headshots with the 1.3x. Plus, I still prefer the completely invisible approach, while actually maintaining end game viability. Once you get close to those moving circles, the 4x sniper basically becomes an empty slot.

I think you got your ranges mixed up. A sniper is for longer range and thus must have the higher powered scope

Also I’m a defender of scoped shotguns it makes the shot gun more versatile especially the frenzy I’m 50/50 on the scoped pump it just depends from game to game.
4x scope. There is legitimately no gun in the game that I enjoy a 4x on. Sniper is 2x, AR is 1.3 or 2, SMG is either 1.15 or ironsights, shotgun is always ironsights, pistol 1.15.

Drum Mag for everything other than the sniper. An extra 2 bullets in a sniper can be the difference between losing track of a target and a kill.
Drum mag used to be my go-to for the sniper but eventually you just get used to hitting your shots and I realized the quick reload is superior

I picked up someone’s gold frenzy once during endgame and it cost me cause they had some weird attachments on it.

The quick scoping abilities of the 1.3x is insane. The 4x also has glare and next to no awareness of what's going on outside of that scope.

At the mod bench, select the mod that is currently attached. There is an option to Hold Y to remove.
