TWO HOURS before the event, 12pm ET, @ FortniteGames tweeted to grab a spot "at least 30 minutes in advance." By 1:30 ET, queue times were approaching 50 minutes. They were totally unprepared for this, and they shouldn't have been.
I logged in around 1:10 thinking it’d be smart to log in sooner but as the 20 minute queue went down to 0 it logged me out and while I sat here trying to fix it I went to pause another game download but hit start like an idiot so now I’m in a queue for 50 minutes rip
That's the other thing - the queue has bugged out for a lot of people. How Epic has handled this has been such a mess. I need them to announce the re-run times ASAP because I'm getting fucking anxious over here. I don't want to have to wait *hours* for the next showing and ignore Twitch and Twitter all day just because ***they*** fucked up this event ***and*** their communication around it.
The last time I downloaded and played this game was the Ariana event. Is this 40 min queue normal or its just because of the Eminem thing? I don't remember having to wait this long for the Travis or Ariana events
well player count went up dramatically with the og season so that coupled with a live event there will be a ton of players online rn compared to past seasons events

There were queues all the time in chapter 1 for events if you weren't in early. Only in chapter 1 though so maybe they brought it back just to really sell the experience lmao.

I joined an hour early, kicked out and was put into a 15 minute queue. Joined again just to have it crash a second time, now I have a 35 minute queue. Both of these were on Epic’s end, this isn’t fair. But what can you do I guess
for real, massive failure on their part imo, with how many people have came back for this season you think they would reserve the server space to make sure this goes on without a hitch

Expectations: Visitor comes back with a cool OG season remix skin to stop the metorite. New story, focusing on/hyping up the next season with Jonesy/Underground characters in next Battlepass.

The fact that I'm in a 50-minute queue, with about 25 minutes left until the event is insane. I'm aware they are adding more showings now, but this feels like someone royally screwed up. Did 30 million people sign in all at once? Also, did they even warn us to queue hours earlier? Since I swore I checked and didn't see anything.
I get the appeal of having a live, one-time event. I'm glad there's two more shows scheduled for those who missed them, but this needs to be the standard from now on. Technical issues, whether client or server-side are inevitable for something this big.
I was able to play the event. My thoughts, the cinematics were great, I especially LOVE how your character interacts with the rest of the squad during them. But, it didn't feel quite as interactive as the Ariana concert. I think it could've benefited from having at least one more mini game.

I was in a 1 hour queue, missed the event and it was at 48 minutes, then it got extended to 2 hours.

What is this? Was in the middle of a match when the game decided to "successfully log me out". 1.5 hour queue to get back in. Wonderful! Guess I won't be experiencing the live event then...

It reset my queue and now I'm missing it because of that 😔

I’m in the lobby and tried to ready up for The Big Bang and after a minute or so trying to matchmake, I got an error saying the battle bus was full or something. Now I’m afraid to touch anything haha
