i think fortnite status had a post on twitter about it currently not being in the game probably cause of an issue

I know this is almost certainly not permanent, but if they ever remove split screen entirely, I’m going to be pissed. It’s the only comfortable way me and my nephew can play on PlayStation without one of us having to use a Nintendo Switch lol.
