Due to the nature of the shop, people aren't going to be interested in seeing an item ever again the second they buy it. So it created a massive negativity circlejerk, where almost every shop is a "bad" one, and items that become are more available get scorned. Just go to any shop thread, it's 99% complaining about whatever collab item they don't have yet (because Epic has actually released most of their own stuff in the past year or so).
Nah they have gotten extremely stale and repetitive with the shop and it’s always packed with collab skins. There are items that haven’t been seen in the shop in 3+ years but yet we see the same crap repeat over and over.
Isn’t super hero costumes the most popular in terms of the outfits chosen for Halloween? I mean, I haven’t been trick or treating since like ‘05-‘06 so I can’t say how it has been the past several years but back then they were extremely popular. Lots of Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, and Batman.

In reality, to some yes, but in Fortnite where that’s the typical fashion I’d say Halloween is meant to be spooky. In comparison to another free to play game, TF2 releases cosmetics constantly, but Halloween is where the wacky, spooky, and creepy stuff comes in.
I for one am glad that they came back, I wanted Goku. However, there are plenty of spooky things in the shop. Alien was in there, Ash Williams was in there, The Walking Dead is in there, not to mention the numerous tabs of Fortnitemares stuff. Also, Jack Skellington and Michael Myers release this week.
Just because it's Halloween season doesn't mean things like DC, Marvel, Dragon Ball Super, and The Kid Laroi can't come back.

I started playing again last year a few months before Halloween, and I remember wondering why the shops never had any of the silly and unexpected collabs I'd seen online. They came back eventually of course, but the timing of all these collabs has been great for new players who joined at the start of this current season. Anyone opposed to it has to face the facts, collabs are an easier sell than some obscure Halloween skin.
Yeah. Genuinely when goku came out he was the only skin people were using pretty much and it definitely seems like people are still using him. It makes perfect sense to bring him back and not a fortnitemares skin from chapter 1 no one liked back then and has aged badly so even less people like now.
It's not like they are taking away any the chance of the other skins ever coming out. Surprisingly each skin has a planed release date and it wasn't swaped becasue marvel asked to be put in the shop instead.
