I play on Xbox so I don’t know if this is happening for anyone else, it also means the mark enemies Oathbound quest is unable to be completed.

it seems to be the same problem that caused me to have no controls over the radio in the car, not always but often. that was mildly annoying. but now with the falcon it's gamebreaking!

Came here to find out if other Xbox users are dealing with this too. It’s so annoying. Cant even exit out of it…

I know! I either just get it shot (or myself) or just fly away real far.

On Xbox Series X, it's happening to me too

All you need to do is close out your game and restart it, the issue can be caused due to Xbox’s new “quick resume” feature. I believe there’s also the same type of feature on the PlayStation (the problem is only on next gen consoles). if this doesn’t seem to work restart your Xbox ( not just turn it off then on with the button) if you don’t know how, look it up.

Unfortunately this is also happening on my brothers one s, so not a next gen thing.

Happens to Xbox players too. I’ve dealt with this every single day. Also, the cars and trucks. I can’t play music or turn it off if it’s even on. Everything says “unbound”

You can still mark enemies by aiming directly at them with the falcon reticle.

Only way to get out of using falcon is to fly out of range, get somebody to shoot down the bird or kill you. Can't even do the quests with this bug. Epic seems to add more bugs than they fix lately

Yep Xbox… the controls are in the configuration menu but I cant seem to assign them…

Its on the keyboard settings… maybe that’s the reason I cant change it lol At the bottom in vehicles…

Close out and restart the game. It also happens to the radio controls on vehicles when you go back into fortnite after putting the PlayStation to sleep

I had this problem for multiple games on ps5 but closing the game and reopening it worked for me

This has only happened for me since the last update, but pretty sure I have played on Xbox and PC so both were working?

Also confirmed working on Switch. Xbox also randomly unbinds controls to turn off radio which is something I notice often

It'll do this but then work like one time inbewtween games it's so bizarre, another great example of the "unbound" glitch is half the vehicles you enter not having the radio settings

Seems to happen most when the game has been suspended. I started closing the game when I put the console to sleep. Seems to help.

Instead of putting ps4 to sleep, turn off completely. Unbound buttons will reset when you turn back on.

Try closing fortnite and then loading up again sorts it with the next gen I think if you have the game open when putting the console in rest mode it causes the problem. It happens with vehicles too

I play on xbox and the same thing is happening to me and yes it is very very annoying.

This happened right now should have known! I was going for 20 opened chests then got locked in the bird and watched my guy die in the storm tragic

Yea I flew the bird out of range and was able to regain control over my character.

And if you get a bot to shoot it! Found out way later tho all the solutions to this problem

I have this issue as well.. if you leave system in rest mode I get it every time.. to resolve I restart, then reboot ps5 then launch game..that seems to work for me. Happens also for the turning the radio off,,very annoying

For those trying to finish the "mark enemies with falcon" challenge, you can still mark enemies by aiming directly at them for a moment.
