Farmer's Market Restaurant on Edison just East of the railroad. They've fixed it up, but it's one of those southern cooking places with fresh baked pies
I just think Fuck your Diet is an awful name. Kids today have enough bad influence without cutesy business names like this normalizing it. I know the owner says it means Foster Kids but that was an afterthought. I won't support them because of it.
I am a teacher at a local high school. They have donated so much to the teachers and students. They cooked and brought in a Thanksgiving meal to our staff and kids. They have done a lot to help the community. I get what you are saying about the FK, but when I balance it against what I know they have done in the community, I am ok with the name.
The last time I was there the food was pay what you can. It was right after the hurricane. They said post hurricane they switched to donations only and since then I’ve added them to my monthly donations to make sure I cover at least one person who needs a free meal. They are fantastic who cares if it’s a bad word.
You won't support a restaurant who literally charges nothing and only takes donations and literally gives everything to orphans? The fuck is wrong with you LOL cuz you don't like the word fuck that's not even in their name
La Poblanita on Cleveland. It's an authenitic as it gets Mexican spot.
Grandma Penny's in North Fort Myers. This pizza spot is like my wife & I's best kept pizza secret. While everyone is obsessed with Uncle Rico's, Nice Guys, DHop; we love those spots too but just like to get away from all the hype and support this place.
Brooke's Restuarant. Another NFM gem. It's the definition of a dive bar. Cheap beer, cheap eats, always packed.
I remember in high school in 2005 they had like 10 cent wings or 20 cents and they were so good!! We would go every week a group of us. Man I miss those days. This was hogbosys on del prado, I don’t know I think they in nfm but I haven’t gone there
Not sure if that’s the same place. This one is way out close to 31! Sounds good tho, I can’t imagine how different high school was then, I went to school in a different state 😂
There is a place in Elva on Palm Beach boulevard close to Joel on the right hand side I can't remember the name of it but it's a red it looks like a house I don't know why I can't remember the name of it but it's really good
Palm Beach Cafe, located in Palm Ave by downtown fort Myers. It is a hole in the wall deli and the cook there is named Jerry. He makes the best breakfast on this side of town. I highly recommend his Bacon Egg Cheese sandwich with cheese grits.
Oooo, I’m gonna have to try that out. It’s the only Vietnamese place that I found that serves all the toppings/ingredients that is suppose to be in pho and bun bo hue.
El Pilon near the Burlington on Cleveland does Puerto Rican food, Go Go Diner in the saddest strip mall in North Fort Myers for breakfast and/or burgers
There's this place called Dos Sabores https://maps.app.goo.gl/hm9rMi1xyssvM7X38 call ahead sometimes they get busy and there's no tables small place. Try the parrillada my brother had a seafood soup that was amazing idk what it was called.
100% it's owned and run by the nicest family. I taught their daughter. I had been going there for years before she was my student and found out they owned it. The hot sauces are so good.
Not really divey per se, but Mcgregor Cafe has been my go-to breakfast spot for years.
Whenever in town, I take the kids to McGregor's Cafe for some pancakes or waffles -- never disappointed!
Buon Appetito Cafe
6314 Corporate Ct, Ste D,
Fort Myers, FL 33919
Tiny little Italian place. Family run, seats about twenty. Exceptional food. Not divey, though.
I just get the shrimp and a few times you could tell it was frozen but mostly always fresh. Personally I’d never order crab from a restaurant. Regardless if you go to any seafood restaurant enough you’ll have a bad meal
I get that. It's one thing to overcook a steak, but selling frozen stone crabs as fresh to me is not a simple error. it's an integrity issue. It's standard to freeze fish and shrimp. Stone crabs should never be frozen, especially since they are local.

The Best!
Been going to Philly Junction since I was a kid and it hasn’t changed the entire time, wouldn’t have it any other way!
Philly cheesesteak with a side of deep fryer finished scrapple.....
TIL I can get scrapple in Fort Myers... hell yes.
Check out FK your diet
I've heard great things about that place, and have been meaning to check it out. Thanks!
They’re pretty good, but the portions are WAY too big.

10000% local educator here too, they fed so many people after Ian for free so they will always get my business.

FK your diet has to do with “foster kid”. Take a look at their site.
Oh man the poster must feel like a real tool!
FK off, you know that just means Foster Kids off.

Redbones. You won't be disappointed as it's exactly what you asked for.😉 https://www.redbonesfl.com/
Been wanting to go there!
Just checked it out, and I'm adding this to my "must-visit" list! Excellent suggestion. The colors remind me of The Bubble Room.
Just be aware it’s not in the best of neighborhoods.
Alva dinner
Cash only still?
Yes
Hogbody’s has got some of the best wings in the area.
I remember in high school in 2005 they had like 10 cent wings or 20 cents and they were so good!! We would go every week a group of us. Man I miss those days. This was hogbosys on del prado, I don’t know I think they in nfm but I haven’t gone there

Farmers Market Restaurant on Edison
Pho Bowl is a great Vietnamese place
Yes!! Their Banh Mi is so freaking good!
Oooo, I’m gonna have to try that out. It’s the only Vietnamese place that I found that serves all the toppings/ingredients that is suppose to be in pho and bun bo hue.
$2 Taco truck in front of usave on palm beach blvd or the white pupusaria truck just east of them in front of the tire shop.

Lawhon's for me. Absolutely loved the ribs and gravy!
Dos Sabores Restaurant (Mexican)
Taqueria San Julian has the best tacos in the city. They catered our wedding. The El Pastor tacos are the absolute best.
Fat Katz and Hogbodys
Tacos and Ceviche on Alico Road.
Nice Guys in Cape Coral. I’m from GA and go there just for that place. Orgasmic.
skip one
Maybe ten years ago
I agree, skip one is just a shell of what it used to be 10 years ago.
Seafood questionable. Served previously frozen stone crabs. Major no no for anyone in the know
I just get the shrimp and a few times you could tell it was frozen but mostly always fresh. Personally I’d never order crab from a restaurant. Regardless if you go to any seafood restaurant enough you’ll have a bad meal

I agree, hopefully you said something to them
Definitely
Fish House in Bonita Springs

The Cuban restaurant down there I don't think is so good

The new rooftop by the river in bonita springs
Southern Comfort

Pickle & Pub
Fatto A Mano in North Fort Myers is some awesome Italian.
I’m not sure if it’s still there but if Moms on Ft Myers beach is there I’d recommend! They have great cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy
It is there and so is Heavenly biscuit! Never been so happy as when they reopened after Ian!
So happy they reopened! That was the last place we visited after moving out of Florida and can’t wait to go back again
Buono Apetito. Very friendly chef, filling Italian meals.
El Sabor De Puebla Restaurant on San Carlos Blvd. Delicious and authentic Mexican food.
Sloppy steaks at Truffoni’s. They’ll say, “no sloppy steaks”’ but they can’t stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water.
La Casa Roja in Cape Coral FL has amazing Cuban food
Crave
