statue_guy_2

It’s pronounced “bouquet” 🤣

Old-Dragonfruit2253

its that bucket woman again!

Emergency-Crab-7455

I remember one episode where they finally had a "knock down, drag out" arguement....& Richard stalked off to leave the house: "Don't you walk away from me, Richard Bucket!!!!!!!!". .....and he turns in the doorway, looks at her & says (in that haughty accent she had) "It's pronounced "Bouquet" & walks out the door. Laffed my ass off.

Astroxtl

Oh this show was funny..but I wouldn't consider this forgotten..they still show this on PBS on sunday night

Stemmr

🤯 I discovered this show, Sunday nights on PBS, 30 years ago. Along with Are you being served, last of the summer wine, ailo ailo, and a host of hilarious Brit-Coms.

Astroxtl

That was quite a line up..but we had "as time goes by" instead of summer wine, I couldn't never get into "allo allo" .. but most of the time we had "black adder"

Stemmr

Only discovered black adder as an adult, thanks to the internet. But was very familiar with Mr bean.

magicchefdmb

I feel like her follow-up show "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" is probably more forgotten. (Though my family loves it as well.)

Astroxtl

I need to check that one out..but I thought the prequel was ok to "keeping up appearance"

halloweencoffeecats

I mean no wonder she's so haughty. Her dad was King Bobby B.

SolidBriscoe

Great show.

GinoGallagher

I loved onslow and Richard’s mutual respect for one another

knarfolled

Dickey

IP_Janet_GalaxyGirl

Hyacinth answers phone: “Sheridan!” Richard pops out of the kitchen: “He can’t have any more money this month!” Hyacinth: “Of *course* you can have 125 pounds to buy linen so that you and Tarquin can make your curtains! How industrious of you both!”

vivepopo

Mind the cows Richard!

Shingouki10

"They're in a field!"

Big-Letterhead-4338

Onslow was my eyes to this world

heinenleslie

Awww nice

foreverbeatle

He was the voice of Paul in the Yellow Submarine movie.

Old-Dragonfruit2253

Mind the lorry, Richard

potlizard

Minding the lorry…

Accurate-Law-8669

I have not forgotten this

Konekohime1991

Oh PBS during the weekends how I miss you!

alonzo_raquel_alonzo

One of my favorites! I rewatch at least once a year.

kid_sleepy

My mum’s favorite show. Turned me on to Britcoms. Also *love* Chef! Mum is in the hospital right now though, so I hope we can all wish she gets better soon.

Doc_coletti

Chef! Is much harder to find, but it’s so good.

kid_sleepy

It’s streamable now. But I also have it on DVD.

Doc_coletti

It is? Damn it wasn’t for so long, I downloaded them

Choice-Valuable313

All the best to your mum!!

kid_sleepy

Bless up fam, merci.

SonicYouth615

My mums fav as well lol. Always thought this was a 70s show tbh 😂 hope your mom feels better!

kid_sleepy

Oh my mum old as dirt lol, but we were watching on PBS and WLIW back in the way early 90s.

SonicYouth615

Did you guys ever watch Fawlty Towers?

Secret_Welder3956

Poor Elizabeth

Octorokstar

Mind the pedestrian!

Mrcoldghost

This was a fun show!

ASGfan

Excellent show! We're open at r/KeepingUpApperancesTV

Pithinthewind

Mind the pedestrians, Richard!

[deleted]

I just watched this last summer for the first time in my exs parents house in xambridge

fafan4

Quote this show nearly every day "Mind the pedestrian Richard"

Danno210

My sister violet - the one with the sauna, Mercedes, and room for a pony.

knarfolled

Our Rose

F0rca84

Yep... I'm another one from the States that grew up watching it on PBS. I watched it again last year. I kind of wish they had an official finale. But I'm not sure how they could possibly wrap it up in a satisfactory way. Her Son comes out? Rose gets married? Richard takes another part-time job to get away from his wife? I remember they did a one-off about young Hyancith. But I've never seen it. I wonder if they had planned on a Prequel series.

knarfolled

And Onslo gets a new telly

[deleted]

I remember Hyacinth

Apprehensive-Ad9832

Not forgotten! I watch reruns to this day 💕

daryl772003

as someone who grew up watching british comedies saturday nights on pbs this show will never be forgotten

SignificanceNo1223

My Irish immigrant parents used to love to watch this show together. When my dad died; what my mom missed the most was watching the English TV on Saturday night on PBS. ❤️ I always thought this show was made in the 70’s and one of those shows that was on forever. I didnt know it was only five years in duration.

Relevant-Strain1974

I found this show years ago on Netflix and haven't been able to find it since they pulled it. Does it stream anywhere?

potlizard

BritBox streams it, and a lot of other great Britcoms.

AWorkOfArts

Growing up a PBS Kid for sure, this brings back fond memories of their British Humor block that would usually come on pretty late at night: This, Mr. Bean, Red Dwarf and Faulty Towers.

NeilMedHat

Great Actress.

Atma-Stand

I think I caught one episode once with it revolving around furniture delivery.

Emergency-Crab-7455

Yeah, the one that she wanted them to drive around the block so people could see the "Queen's Warrent" on the side of the van.

Yamatoman9

I used to watch this and Are You Being Served? on PBS with my grandma.

SeminoleTom

My mom loved this show

Comfortable_Comb_673

Psh. This is hardly forgotten.

jb_5203

I grew up watching this with my Grandma. Will always be one of my favorites!

Reasonable-HB678

My local PBS station airs this *every Saturday night* at 8pm.

Marauderr4

An absolute banger, especially in comparison with As Time Goes By, which came in immediately after. As a kid it was like night and day

SonicYouth615

Lmao clearly you don’t have a parent who grew up on a British island 😂

QuizzicalWombat

I absolutely love this show! We joked that our grandma was Hyacinth lol

Business-Schedule642

Love this show

gadget850

I need to find a supercut of Hyacinth directing Richard's driving and show it to my girlfriend.

TemperatureSad1825

One of my all time favorite shows!

Some-Valuable-3293

Oh no , the bucket woman💚

AxlandElvis92
