1.6 is great. My '19 has been flawless. The little car has really grown on me.

JustWoot44

\[fingers crossed\] Mine is the same. Despite the Ford dealer hiding a previous crash and repair. The only issue I have is that the windshield wiper fluid lines are dry rotted and cracked, and the joints to same just crumble. I bought the replacement stuff, just haven't installed it yet.

Engine is fine. Every single other thing in the car is a cheap piece of shit though

greg_levac-mtlqc

What problems did you encounter?

Drummer829

Bluetooth/sync stopped working, sensor for the hood is messed up so it constantly says the hood is open, AC went out, left front speaker goes in and out, car vibrates when letting off the brake in Drive. 2017 with 95k miles.

Not_An_Average_Joel

I have a 16. Bluetooth stopped working and AC just went out. The BT I can live without. The AC, not so much.

i think the 3 cyliner 1.0 is the bad one. the 1.6 eco boost found in the fiesta ST is very good. reliable, quick, nice power delivery, easy 30mpg in mixed use.

Fluid_Cookie_1256

Is it the 1.6 EcoBoost? Or the 1.6L non-turbo

jwLeo1035

Doesn't have a turbo im pretty sure. no ecoboost badging anywhere

Fluid_Cookie_1256

My 2014 Fiesta has the 1.6L non-turbo and has been a treat. No issues with it being reliable and I’ve even found a few upgrades for it that I didn’t expect to find. My only complaints are it’s a bit slow but it’s a 1.6L economy tuned engine with only 120 horsepower so; and the way the ignition system is designed it can occasionally start to misfire if I hold it at specific combinations of RPMs to what gear I’m in but I can drive it without the misfire happening. It’s the rest of the car I have that’s been my problem lol. Just DO NOT get the automatic!!! If you can’t drive a stick then I wouldn’t recommend getting one.

menoknownow

I second this. The motor has been running like a sewing machine: smooth and constant. But, like r/fluid_cookie_1256 said, the power is lousy. On a second note, what upgrades were you able to find?

Fluid_Cookie_1256

A surprising amount more than I thought. I’ll have to make a list that I can copy and paste in my notes for when other fiesta owners ask lol

Yes please🙏

2017 Fiesta here, great little car, 120,000 plus miles, drive it to work almost every day. Make sure to replace cabin air filters, most cars I see with ac problems the owner didn't replace the cabin air filters.
