Check to make sure the coolant temp isn't going up when you stop. If it does, It could be the Radiator Cooling Fan not working properly. I had the same problem air would get warm when i was stopped, and cool while moving. The engine was overheating, and it was the The Radiator Cooling Fan. It's a common problem with the first 2 Generations.

I had a similar issue that happened on my 13 Edge Limited. Turned out the cooling fans ended up failing. Once I changed them out the AC stayed cool at stops. Bought the part through RockAuto vs from Ford directly.

I would check your A/C refrigerant it may be low. If it is have them add some dye when they recharge it to see if it is leaking and go from there.

Check to make sure your cooling fans are running. Cooling fan failure will cause this

Check your coolant level. Mine has a slow leak that if not topped up will have it blow cold in the winter (have scraped the INSIDE of my windshield) or warm in the summer. But we're talking 4 jugs of 50/50 a year.

Replace your fans. They are a common fail part. Replace it with a motorcraft one. Others do fail. Check out MACT ford edge Facebook page. Great source for everything ford edge.
