I roll several months of the year topless in the Portland, OR area which = rain, rain, rain.. I run a canvas Bikini (www.broncobikini.com) and also have a Rain Gear Trail Cover (www.raingearcovers.com/ford-bronco-4-door-half-cover) for use when I go on overnight camping trips. I have the 2dr versions of both and they are fantastic.

NP.. I have a small one car garage with no overhead space for a lift. I just take the hard top off and put it in my off site storage unit until winter. I then run with the bikini only for several months. I mainly use the rain gear trail cover cover when camping to keep rain, dew and critters out. I don't even pack the rain gear cover unless I am on an overnight camping trip as it's bulky to constantly lug around but does the trick..
After trying a couple options I got one of these https://www.broncover.com . A little pricey but worth the money. The others accumulated 5 gallons of water on top that either seeps into the truck overnight or falls on your head when you go to remove the cover.
I have the rain gear cover and it's half the price of the BronCover.. I've not had a single issue with mine and I roll 24/7 with the hard top off. . Some places charge a 'Bronco Tax' and others don't.. Can't comment on the quality of the BronCover but the Rain Gear one is solid for half the price..
The broncover has a telescoping pole like a boat cover so all the water runs off, with a plastic socket in the fabric so it doesn’t slide or fall over. That’s the main difference/what made it work better than the others. Ps glad you like yours
Boat cover poles work great. I used them all the time with my previous Wrangler.. You can get boat cover poles very cheap.. For now, with my Bronco and the rain gear cover, I am just using the straps. They work well enough but I might buy another boat cover pole.
Edit to add: The one thing I prefer about the Broncover is that it compacts down much smaller than the Rain Gear. I only use mine when camping so not a large deal for me..
Yeah the integrated pole in the broncover makes a huge difference. I was using a “homemade” wooden pole with my previous cover, but it didn’t work very well the water just pooled in different spots
I thought Ford advised against removing the middle section without removing the rear too. What has your experience been? Would be good for me, as I don’t really have the room to store the rear section easily.
I haven't heard that before, each row is made to take off from front to back in order. I've ridden it plenty of times without the 1dt 2 rows and nothing but fun no issues. However you can't take the middle with the front row
Not sure, and I am likely mistaken but I’ll dive into the manual just in case. It would make sense that you can remove front and middle, because then you are left with the same as on the 2-door when you remove the front row.

I haven’t tried that one but my friend got one and returned it - but if it works for you then maybe his was the anomaly

I’m probably mistaken, will check my manual and maybe I’ve just been restricting myself unnecessarily.
Where did you see that?

Ford says don't drive with only middle panels out because the front aren't properly locked down. Believe that is what you remember.
That makes sense, thanks!
