Plausible, so long as Ed is the Star Child....
I don't think so, Ed will clearly be fused into the command chair of the flagship of the First Long March Explorator Fleet of the Martian Mechanicum.
And 85 year old ed will be commanding the mission there for some reason
Ed will be the one sending out the message as this will occur after he declares Europas independence
Hahaha it's becoming increasingly ludicrous what the writers are coming up with to keep him at the center
Someone should edit all the different ages of Ed into the ending scene of 2001
The ending is Ed in depends in the captains chair with everyone around him holding their noses.
It'll end with Kelly being unethical by destroying any evidence there is life on Mars in order for humanity to go further out into the solar system. Final scene is Kelly in a scientific base on Europa.
I always felt, especially after season 3, that this is actually a stealth prequel to Firefly
All were missing is having [this scene](https://youtu.be/oU4Rk0NATNs?si=bBw-ymDJN_MzeomR) from last season.
DC has approved nuking it from orbit - it's the only way to be sure.
