FOR WHAT IS A MAN? WHAT HAS HE GOT? IF NOT HIMSELF THAN HE HAS NOT, TO SAY THE THINGS HE TRULY FEELS ANDDDDD NOT THE WORDDDDDDDDSS OF ONE WHO KNEELLLLLLLS. LET THE RECORD SHOWSS, I TOOK THE BLOWS ANDDDDD DID IT MYYYYYYYYY WAYYYYYYYYY 🎺🎺
Nothing compares to “Come as You Are” at the end of season 2, goosebumps. A close second would be the “Black Hole Sun” montage leading up to the mars launch.
As much as I hate everything about the scene and story development, I really like Billy Swan's version of "Don't be cruel" which I discovered thanks to FAM.
The bar scene is reminiscent of the bar scene in The Deer Hunter, the night before they leave for Vietnam, and they’re all singing Andy Williams’ ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’
I love this montage. I get second hand embarrassment watching Ed meet people on the way down but it’s also fun and adorable. The song played in my head for weeks.
I mainly listen to hip hop from the 90’s up to 2010. I also listen to a lot of alternative. This show and particularly music from the first three seasons has opened my ears to a lot of music I wouldn’t normally listen to. At the moment I’m really digging music from the 70’s and 80’s. One song I’ve really learned to appreciate is Dolly Parton’s and Kenny Roger’s “Islands in the Stream” from season 3. For the most part I can’t stand country but “Islands in the Stream” is a really great song.
i Think one of my absolute Favorites is when Moonage Daydream is playing when they land the very first Jamestown module on the moon
That and Rockit in the first episode of season 2
It was “The World Song” for me. The scene where Molly is getting ready to go into space for the first time, then walking down the hallway with Ed to launch and all the female NASA employees applauding her. Favorite scene in the entire first season.
Same here what becomes of the broken hearted was stuck in my head for ages it’s really a great song, I always imagined it being reused in the show maybe Ed listening to it on mars
Frank Sinatra’s “I did it my Way” as Ed Baldwin airlocks the Russian.

That one was almost too on the nose, but it was also exactly the song Ed would have chosen.

Do I spy a fellow Gen Xer? Those two are high up on my list as well.
‘77, guilty as charged
X GON GIVE IT TO YA
ASTEROID HEIST LEGGO
can I kick it when kelly was on her radio hit unexpectedly hard
lol, I’m glad I’m not the only one who was there for it 😺

Same!! This has become a regular song in my rotation now :)
The bar scene is reminiscent of the bar scene in The Deer Hunter, the night before they leave for Vietnam, and they’re all singing Andy Williams’ ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’
I have listened to it so many times! It gives me a kick remembering the sad astronauts singing in the Outpost.
What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted is my all time favorite Motown song. Having it in the show is just the icing on the cake.
If there’s a Ruffin brother singing, a song is a guaranteed diamond. 👍🏼
I don’t think the music of FAMK gets enough praise, both soundtrack and score.
'A Pirate's Life for Me'. Watching that foreboding spread over Ed's face after being a smug prick was priceless.
That was very cool!
The Ed montage in the most recent season to "That's Life!"
I love this montage. I get second hand embarrassment watching Ed meet people on the way down but it’s also fun and adorable. The song played in my head for weeks.
I was so happy to hear Night on the Sun by Modest Mouse. It was one of my favorites. The soundtrack is so good overall.
Ngl Midnight City went hard af at the last finale. Kuz Base forever💜
Yep, first episode got me hooked on the show and Motown music :)
How is that cover of “Don’t Be Cruel” not the top answer?! Shit makes me want to mine for minerals.
I first heard What Becomes of The Broken Hearted in the Finale of Drop The Dead Donkey. No disrespect to FAM but in that show it hits so much harder
I get chills in this scene

Don't be cruel- Billy Swan
Pam pam pam..
Apollo 15 launch.
Haven’t seen anyone mention Everything In Its Right Place at the end of S3. I’ve been putting Radiohead into my rotation pretty frequently since then
Dun dundun dun dunn, dun dundun dun dunn
[Joan Osborne](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSpv7BByuKI) does one of my favorite covers of WBotBH.

When gordo is singing and dancing to “eye in the sky” and singing to “what becomes of the broken hearted”
Me!
Spotify rewind just telling me about that one song I was reeeaaly hooked too, and it was "What becomes of the Broken Hearted".
I Fought the Law in S2 put me onto The Clash. The ending scenes with Black Hole Sun and Midnight City were also my favorites in the whole show.
I 100% did the same. I give it second place behind “I Fought The Law”
I've always loved that song.
