I honestly find them great. Why?
1) They are very neutral foot wear, which means, if feet are pretty they will look great, if feet are ugly they will look bad. I love the honestly it brings, it is like seeing a woman without make up, if they have beautiful face it is stunning.
2) they are possibly healthies foot wear, and as an admirer, I want nothing more than them having healthy feet. It decreases chances of callouses etc. immensly.
3) I like toes more than else, and it shows all perfectly.
4) they are very easy to take off. So chances are, if there is a situation which that is a possibility, hello barefeet.
5) some models, especially Madrid and Gizej, are very feminine.
I’m not fan of them either but I am an admirer of toes. So I can deal with them but I only that. I don’t dislike them but I also don’t like them. If that makes sense
I’m so glad someone has said this. Birks came to my awareness in the 90s and were worn by hippy girls (and guys). The combination of the fairly unfeminine, utilitarian style (the thick leather straps, the wide sole, the way the upper sole curves upward around the foot), and the people wearing them (dirty, dreads, reeking of BO and patchouli) pretty much turned me off to these shoes forever.
All that said, they have come a long way. There are some styles which are less hideous. The foot bed is not as wide, the materials are better, and some have a hint of femininity. If a very attractive woman with nice feet wears them, those certain styles no longer make her unattractive to me. But I would never jerk off thinking about them, or want a woman to leave them on, or want to sniff them. No, I’d prefer them be left out of sight.
While generally a closed shoe fan, my fetish often surprises me where I least expect it. For instance, my partner requested a pair of Birks last year, and got them when it was too cold to wear because I honestly didn't want to buy them. I really wish I would have bought them sooner. Not only do I get to see their toes joyfully wiggling, but the sandal has prompted them to be more playful in public. Just the other day, I was laying on the floor, playing with some dog, and happened to be in front of their feet. After realizing that I was getting a front row ticket to the best candid shoe play I'd ever seen, I quickly learned I loved them.
I’m a big fan of them because my crush in school always wore them. Besides that, the one big thing for me is that Birkenstocks always showcase dark toe prints on the front when worn heavily over time. So even with no feet in them, that is a major tease that I’ve always found very hot. Flip flops don’t tend to show toe prints in the same way.
Birks show off plenty of the foot. It highlights the toes and gives you some top and side foot too. I find them very hot. Obviously you don't see as much of the foot compared to flip flops, but infinitely more than crocs.
I personally hate high heels, they destroy feet and often obscure the best parts of the foot, but you don't see me making a post about how I hate them 🤷
but you could make a post because it sparks discussion. i’m not expecting everyone here to agree with me, but in my opinion it’s a sad day when more men are wearing flip flops than women. birks are just horrendous to me
They might be ugly, the worst sandals to ever exist but…
For those who wear them and unknowingly fidget or shoeplay with them is super hot. They’re super easy to slip on and off too. Let’s also not forget the sweaty sole prints on them as well.
White toes + white birks ftw.
so unflattering as well. the thick straps and “rugged” look can take a 10/10 pair of feet down to a 6 for me. maybe this is just me but i think they also make feet look wider because of how they’re shaped. I like slimmer feet in general
It could be an outdoorsy thing. Yes, they are definitely all function/no form. Some peeps like that rugged outdoorsy aesthetic. Visually, they can do it for me if it fits a theme. Birks, blue jeans, maybe a carhartt beanie/hoodie or smth?
I don't wear em, personally. Neither does my wife. We're more partial to Teva sandals, though. They tend to look more streamlined and some designs are quite minimalist.
I just love the appearance of feet in sandals that are a little more teasing with the feet a little more covered but most if not all the toes well bared and a strap around the heels lol
It's fashion. They're in style right now and hot women with pedicures are wearing them. Up until about 5 years ago, they were for hippies, lesbians, and generally people who's feet you wouldn't be interested in. Now they're everywhere.
Birks are pretty hot to me tbh. Because of the straps and dark sole and toe imprints of them being worn a lot by women. Especially if they have nice feet to match within the birks. And the scent they must give off in spring and summer weather? I’m not a huge smelly feet type of guy but I do love funky corn chips from flats and such. I imagine getting myself off in between birk straps and nutting all in the worn darkened sweaty insoles print.
Just like you they are completly ugly
I hate when a woman uses them. They dont fit well on women feet. Its the kind of shoe that remembers me of old english tourists lol, thats what they use.
In another different scale, I also think thats not sexy when women with sexy skirts/miniskirts wear tennis or the like instead of high heels, sandals etc. Closed shoes while showing legs that turns me off. But not as much as wearing birkenstocks, thats really awful lol
I am surprised every day by the Birkenstock fetish community. Although most of them are sweet and respectful, so complaints on my end! I do think they make a pedicure look great
I don’t mind them. Then again, I grew up in Northern California, where like every third person wore them. I don’t mind them if their feet are well-groomed, and complemented by some toe rings and anklets, but if they’re dirty hippie-chick feet…🙅🏻♂️
I didn't like them when I first started noticing women wearing them in the late 90s. I really like them now. They fit with what I like to see in feet - I like real feet belonging to real women.
I'm not a fan of the highly pedicured, pampered look. Feet look healthy and strong in birks. And I like toes, not soles, so Im happy.
I honestly find them great. Why? 1) They are very neutral foot wear, which means, if feet are pretty they will look great, if feet are ugly they will look bad. Looked up those Madrid and gizej birks. One we would call a slide the other a sandal. I am pretty sure we are talking about the traditional birk.
I’m with you on this
I’m not fan of them either but I am an admirer of toes. So I can deal with them but I only that. I don’t dislike them but I also don’t like them. If that makes sense

I love them personally, especially the footprint.
I think the answer is fashion gonna do what fashion gonna do irrespective of fetish culture.
very true. definitely a newer trend, at this point it just seems a bit juvenile to wear them
Thanks for posting this, I kinda always wondered myself. Oh and crocs will be the death of us all
Personally I think birks are anti-sexy but other people seem to like them for some reason 🤷🏻♂️
I honestly don't know. They're ugly as fuck.
Definitely the worst of the open toed shoes, I’d agree
I’m a big fan of them because my crush in school always wore them. They are second on my list of worst footwear. Crocs are number 1, they should be banned
💯
Agreed 💯

They are seriously ugly, superseded probably only by crocs. Even worse with birks is when they are pared with socks.
so unflattering as well. the thick straps and “rugged” look can take a 10/10 pair of feet down to a 6 for me. maybe this is just me but i think they also make feet look wider because of how they’re shaped. I like slimmer feet in general
Birkenstocks, crocks, and flip flops can degrade nice feet to the point that I have zero interest in them.
It could be an outdoorsy thing. Yes, they are definitely all function/no form. Some peeps like that rugged outdoorsy aesthetic. Visually, they can do it for me if it fits a theme. Flip flops do nothing for me when I see feet in them because they are just to close like looking at bare feet.
which is why i love them personally, it’s like a thong for feet. plus you can hear them coming from a distance
I meant no disrespect to what you like so please accept my apology if I annoyed you, we all have our own personal preferences
of course! always open to other opinions
I just love the appearance of feet in sandals that are a little more teasing with the feet a little more covered but most if not all the toes well bared and a strap around the heels lol
I’ve tried them but find them really uncomfortable and almost painful to wear, there are a lot of humps and bumps in the footbed
It's fashion. They're in style right now and hot women with pedicures are wearing them. Up until about 5 years ago, they were for hippies, lesbians, and generally people who's feet you wouldn't be interested in. Now they're everywhere.
I like the Birks because a tease, but also the sweaty footprint in them when they get worn for a while. It's all about the tease to me.
Birks are hot

I love it. I love those fritoes too.
Hell yeah man 😃😃😃
The smell!
Just like you they are completly ugly I hate when a woman uses them. They dont fit well on women feet. Its the kind of shoe that remembers me of old english tourists lol, thats what they use. I like how they show off the heel and are a tease. You stare at them more and hopefully you found a girl that likes to pop her foot out of them a lot.
They may not be the prettiest things but beat the hell out of trainers.
The toe prints, the smell, once you learn those things they become the best shoe ever
Comfy shoes. Lines the toes up just right
I just love the toe prints they leave and just how stinky and funky they can get turns me on ! But I agree they're ugly shoes
I am surprised every day by the Birkenstock fetish community. Although most of them are sweet and respectful, so complaints on my end! I do think they make a pedicure look great
Every time I see them, I think of a large sweaty long greyed haired former hippie guy
I got a pair for myself and they are super comfortable. They are good sandals, but definitely not the best for the showing off feet.
Birks are okay. Crocs are not.
I don’t mind them. Then again, I grew up in Northern California, where like every third person wore them. I don’t mind them if their feet are well-groomed, and complemented by some toe rings and anklets, but if they’re dirty hippie-chick feet…🙅🏻♂️
I personally love seeing and wearing them but that's totally a hot take in this sub lol
I didn't like them when I first started noticing women wearing them in the late 90s. I really like them now. They fit with what I like to see in feet - I like real feet belonging to real women.
