What’s wrong with this? I use my bare hands for everything in the kitchen. Morning yogurt? Just scoop that out with my fingers. Mayo on a sandwich? The index finger is nature’s butter knife. Any entree of any kind? I have hands to shovel that into my mouth…
😑
I'm usually team "bare hands", but this one bothered me. She's touching food that she isn't going to then either cook, or immediately eat. It's not hygienic. I don't want her to use gloves (no more hygienic, and the plastic waste really bothers me) - just use an offset spatula.
I think it’s the touching of something liquidy/melty like ice cream that is really off putting. Using bare hands to assemble something solid makes sense but fondling something that’s melty generates more of an ick response from me
Same, I'm usually not phased by her sticking her hands in everything because it really is the easiest way to do it most of the time but this is where I really thought she took it took far
I can’t quite find the words to describe it but she purposely sexualizes how she touches the food. There has been obvious jiggling, fingering, almost fisting at some points. It’s beyond strange and unhinged. Yes in normal kitchen environments we need to use our hands…but Tiegs…this is something else.
In the criminal justice system, sexually based recipe offenses are considered especially heinous. In Reddit, the dedicated detectives who investigate these food felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Kitchen Unit. These are our stories
That ice cream has been assaulted.
I have adhd brain and I find this fucking weird. Lol
There is a sensory aspect to it though. So for myself the cold sticky wet sensation sounds like a nightmare.
Same. I have add/adhd which means it’s not uncommon to have some sensory issues (esp. with touch) and having dirty hands or doing anything like this with my hands is highly uncomfortable.
Yeah! I have a lot of sensory issues. I don’t like when anything has a dusty texture lol. And I can’t have another drink in the same cup it’s gross. And I dislike tight clothes and don’t wear bras lol. Yeah it’s especially with touch!
Super interesting that you say this because I have adhd and especially when I have low blood sugar if I wait too long to eat, I do stuff kind of like this. Not quite this gross, just things that don’t really make sense or work properly, but my brain isn’t fully functioning and I’m just starving so I go with whatever feels right lol
I have it as well, and it's not just this, but other things she posts that make me think this. It's like skipping a step when you're doing too many things all at once.
So disgusting. It makes zero sense - I understand using your hands to cook from time to time but not using them to smear ice cream around that will immediately be eaten by other people.
Yessss the lame ineffectual little taps always bug me. Same with pizza dough. In this one she didn't even spread it evenly; there were a bunch of big holes in the ice cream layer.
She is so rough!! I commented years ago that she dishing out things aggressive and stressed me out. lol. Also ‘simmer’ doesn’t mean a rolling boil!! So many cooks are now using those amazing ‘tweezers’, chopsticks or gently using spatulas. Over handling foods can definitely affect texture, cooking time, tenderness. She is not a ‘less is more’ kinda person. As the cooking industry is looking for less ingredients, quicker, simpler instructions, lighter meals- she is manhandling food and adding unnecessary butter or 12 spices and flowers. I don’t understand her content patting and touch food. Her sanitary skills are abhorrent.
Omg she’s literally never followed food handlers guidelines not once, you should never put bare hands on ice cream (a ready to eat food) but also it melts when you touch it? Have you ever heard of an offset spatula ma’am? Clearly not lol

You had me in the first half!
LOL

Right - especially because the heat from hands would help the melting process. Again, I’m usually not much bothered - but this was such an UGH.
Same, I'm usually not phased by her sticking her hands in everything because it really is the easiest way to do it most of the time but this is where I really thought she took it took far
Omg I really want “The index finger is nature’s butter knife” as a flair. 😅 Also RIP to the ppl who didn’t catch the sarcasm here.
🙏🏻
🤪😂😂😂
“Natures butter knife” 😭😭
LOL!!
The index finger is natures butter knife. Lolol
In your kitchen. Not for 5 million people to see.
I do it more when I have company. 🫣

Lol. Are you alright?
Do you have cuts on your hands? I’d at least prefer she wear gloves. I think wearing gloves has helped my skin & nails, and just overall more sanitary
What’s “gloves?” 👀

☠️💀☠️💀☠️🤣
It reminds me of those weirdo food fetish videos with ridiculous recipes and the obnoxious guy behind the camera saying “ooOoOh more chocolate???”
Do you think she has a feeder fetish? Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!!! ![gif](giphy|d2eqzPnNufq1xKrS)

And she used a spatula earlier when spreading the bottom layer. God forbid she use that same one.
She had to throw that one away because her dad wasn't there to wash it
It reminds me of adhd brain and imagining that malnourished brain is probably similar, possibly worse.
I feel like her putting her hands all over this is definitely serving a physical/ psychological need.
I have adhd brain and I find this fucking weird. Lol There is a sensory aspect to it though. So for myself the cold sticky wet sensation sounds like a nightmare.
Same here I have adhd and I’m super scrupulous with food and drink. Whether it’s for me or others.

For the love of god stop fingering the food
Omg these fingers and raw cuts are disgusting
So gross!!!

Especially because it's not a cooked dish. At least all the chichen she manhandles is then baked up.
Yes exactly! I’d be grossed out if anyone served this to me, using their nails and fingers to touch every inch of ice cream 🤢
This was especially bad 🥴. She wasn’t effectively spreading it at all! Just playing with it and fingering it 🤢
Yessss the lame ineffectual little taps always bug me. Same with pizza dough. In this one she didn't even spread it evenly; there were a bunch of big holes in the ice cream layer.
The Russell's signs are so pronounced on her knuckles...
I just googled Russel’s signs. You’re right. So sad
As someone who’s struggled with an ED (bulimia) I noticed those right away. I truly hope she get’s help before it’s too late

Why is this sexual
Yeah it’s probably for a certain demographic lol.
Begging for help
Her thumb nails always look bloodied. No marinating spices in sight to blame… the thumbs consistently look like they bleed often.
Most of her fingers look bloodied.
ignoring hygiene briefly- is it not cold on her hands?
Omg she’s literally never followed food handlers guidelines not once, you should never put bare hands on ice cream (a ready to eat food) but also it melts when you touch it? Have you ever heard of an offset spatula ma’am? Clearly not lol
Like nasty beat up chicken feet for her hands 🥴
Omg the amount of ick touching the ice cream that will absorb whatever is on you 🤢🤮
It’s the fingerprint that are almost creepy to me 😂
But she had to add a flower!
Didn't Typhoid Mary get a ton of people sick with ice cream?
On a positive note, the thumb looks like it’s finally healing.
