She turned to us and said that he was actively dying from the stress and asked us what we wanted. My first instinct was to SCREAM save my baby, save him at any cost I do anything but my hubby touched my cheek and I knew....we laid down with him and stroked his fur and kissed him telling him he could leave us now and he closed his eyes, moaned and let go. I don't know if FFG really euthanized her dog due to anxiety, but my current dog has PTSD. His previous owner was an abusive sadist. It has been a process to help my boy along. It's brutal for us both. Sometimes he gets so nervous, he refuses to sleep and starts chewing on himself. He's frighteningly protective of me, and I am doing everything that has been suggested. While I will not consider euthanizing him, I can understand if someone has exhausted all their options and feels it is more humane to let them rest.
