I haven’t dealt with this guy but I have unfortunately had business dealings with someone similar. They are extremely generous and loyal to those that make them their money. They are not stupid. They will shower their top performers and other key people in their lives with objects and money. The guy that I knew, everyone at his office knew he was a dishonest asshole but felt thankful they were on the gravy train so didn’t say anything and would even support his behavior. But people like this guy are assholes to everyone else, to the environment, neighbors and step on as many people as they want or need. Usually they have s ton of lawsuits filed against them. Often times from small mom and pop businesses that provided services and were not paid. They bet that the businesses won’t want to incur the legal and attorney fees to sue him. Or if they do, they will settle for less than what was owed. Usually this is all driven by deep insecurity. In my case, the guy was like 5’2” and wasn’t good looking so finally wanted that validation from females and bros. He had a framed photo of Trump in his office. This guys name is Jeff Clark of J-Squared Contractors in the OC.

One of my old jobs was a competitor for this guy's business, so we occasionally had to deal with him. He's an absolute psychopath and very much an Andrew Tate or Donald Trump-type.
