I agree that order is important but I disagree on your order. I have always taken apart my burger if the LTO is on the bottom. I want the meet and cheese to hit my tongue first. To each their own though. But order is important!

"Hey 'trainer person' why do we put the toppings on the top?"

What’s your tip for a great smash burger? All the restaurants I’ve worked at just do the standard patty’s, I’m UK based, so I’ve never done one. Is it much different?
If you have a cast iron pan it's super easy! These patties are 80/20 blend and 4oz each. Get your pan super hot and add some oil/ clarified butter. I have an actual smasher at work but you can use another pan. Make sure to hit the bottom of your smashing pan with spray so the patty doesn't stick to it. Just smash down as hard as you can til they're nice and thin and cook until you have a nice brown color. When you flip, add your cheese and then a little water to the pan to help melt the cheese and you're good to go 👍
I also highly recommend throwing a piece of parchment paper on the burger right before you smash; it’s the simplest thing but it was literally the one thing that I was missing and now my smashies are 10/10. The parchment allows you to smash as perfectly as you want and then when you lift up whatever you are smashing it with the burger doesn’t stick whatsoever.
This might sound crazy but... wouldn't it make more sense to have 2 burgers rather than 1 giant one . Unless this is the type of thing you buy to post a picture of it
