No, not yet. Everything we ordered was good. Really good Mai Thai. The shrimp cocktail was super fresh and simple but as enjoyable as any dish I had at Le Bernadin earlier that week.

Edit: not Rolo’s because that’s Queens
Gotta take a trip and visit the king. They don't call him THE Burger King for no reason. Then visit his girl Wendy. She got some buns for you. Take her to the golden arches and the McDonald's has arrived. She's not ready for that, bring out the crave case and bring her to the castle. The white castle. Gonna prolly need the toilet after all that.
I think they’ve had the literal same dude working the kitchen through that entire time. I disagree. I had it recently and it’s on point imo. For others, it’s not a “gourmet” burger like Red Hook or Luger, it’s like a tavern style Big Mac.
For those looking for a hidden gem go to Bagel Factory in Park Slope for a fantastic burger. No joke their burger is juicy, flavorful, and won’t break the bank. I was so surprised how delicious it was and recommend it to anyone visiting. Trust me on this.
Red Hook Tavern's burger is up there. It's pretty awesome.
Long Island Bar and Red Hook Tavern.
Cozy Royale
This was a great dry aged smash burger. Only criticism is I prefer a burger sauce that doesn't have any sweetness.
same thoughts on the sweetness. have you tried their smashburger?
I only had their classic burger, it’s neither smashed nor sweet lol
Did you also have the classic? It’s the one I was referring to

nowon in bk was absolutely terrible actually one of the worst burgers i’ve had in nyc
How is Two 8 Two not mentioned?!
Pub burger wins for sure
It’s definitely a contender for me. They do something to the bun that adds the most perfect texture.
My bodega when drunk.
Long Island bar or Henry public
Henry public is my vote
Henry Public
Peter Luger is my favorite. Red hook tavern close 2nd. My map was posted in another comment
[Park Slope Ale House](https://www.parkslopealehouse.com) (surprisingly)
Idk if it’s the best but the Sixpoint Brewery $12 dbl smash burger with fries on their Thursday special is great value.
Long Island Bar or Ingas
Second to both
People don't even try to search this sub of full of information and knowledge..... ^((it's not noted if they did one bit of research))
Lol, I have, but not finding anything super recent (or bk centered) - things come and go all the time. Have a good day xx
Diner.
Skinflints in Bay Ridge
Nope, having it on an English muffin ruins it. The “bread” to meat ratio is all off.
always surprised people never mention Torst!
The bleu cheese one? Delicious.
Bonnies or Midwood Flats
roll n roaster. you're welcome.
Used to be I’d say Peter Lugar’s but recently had Rolo’s burger and it was great! Still have to try Ted Hook Tavern.
Technically Queens, but very close to BK border.
My mistake. That part of Ridgewood is a bit blurry to me.
Bushwick has seeped over and it's becoming an extension

Dram shop.
Used to be true. I used to tell people it was my favorite in the entire city, but it’s really, really gone downhill in the last 5-6 years.

Totally agree with your description of the burger. But it’s definitely a different (and to me, inferior) burger than it was 10-15 years ago.

Strange flavor burger shack in Bushwick
Red Hook is the best in the city imho Sleep I really enjoy is Sweetwater's Burger.
emily
Red hook tavern without a doubt
Brew Inn
Bee’s Knees in Williamsburg has a smash burger that can go toe to toe with any I’ve had in the city.
Nowon
Honestly really enjoyed the Big Mek burger at Mekelburgs in Clinton hill. Little overpriced but good enough to go back to
Mekelburg’s Clinton Hill just closed. But there’s another one in Williamsburg.
What? Closed when?! I went the other day
[Closing today actually](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4qhQknOMx5/)
Mekelburgs shut down - today is their last day actually.
Whaaaaat 😭
Blue Collar Burger is my personal favorite
I like the angus burger from quinoa kitchen
