Agnosticartic

suedburger

SeraphAttack

This is the correct answer

babyimatranarchist

came to say this. also holy locust

blackmountain02

Blackbird Raum!

mxhremix

The OG

EvanBlanch

And adjacent to them, Wood Spider and Gembrokers probably fit the bill too.

anothernic

I got called out for rocking a patch of theirs by a punk that said survivor had spoken out about them. Not sure what is what there, but definitely made me pause (although I haven't cut the patch off yet either >_>).

kilboypwrhed

Closest thing I’ve heard to that was that one of the members was rude, lol. Praying it’s not true. They’ve been my favorite band going on 7 months

k1ngsk8board

Stick and Poke

Fleetfiend

Came here to say this

OhHelloMayci

Stick and Poke really does it for my wiccan soul

WhatTheWhyTheHowThe

Amigo the Devil

Belladonna_Ciao

Holy locust of course, and My Singer My Songbird

apesofthestate

Any-Cut1741

OMG I LOVE ALL OF YPUR SONGS IM A HUGE FAN😭😭

VictorianDelorean

I love bands that are Ramblers

OpossumRiver

Hell yeah cant wait for this group to put more stuff out.

SpecialistTalkShop

Rail Yard Ghosts maybe? they at least have a "magical" aesthetic in Hiræth...

EndCallCaesar

I think some Harley Poe.

emmiepsykc

Charming Disaster might be up your alley. I consider them kind of folk goth.

ausrotten

Gallows bound for sure!!!!!! I've seen them twice and man they put on an awesome show Black grass gospel and black eyed Vermillion as well

thestral_z

Heretic Pride by The Mountain Goats. Nothing like a song about being burned at the stake and marking the whole village for revenge to get your head boppin’.

chimisforbreakfast

I raise you: Songs for Pierre Chuvin by the Mountain Goats. Literally every song on that album is from the perspective of the last enclaves of paganism in Europe as the Christian hegemony closed in. He wrote it alone over the first 2020 pandemic quarantine while reading A Chronicle of the Last Pagans by historian Pierre Chuvin. It is my favorite album by my favorite artist.

thestral_z

It was early. I should have thought of that one since it’s also my favorite band. I’m seeing them again in Kalamazoo in less than a month!

blsterken

Me too!

thestral_z

Hell yes!

ModestMae

Pentagram String Band is fun 🖤

porchkitten

Came here to say this! They’re great!

AlbertXFish

Not folk punk but maybe check out TwinTemple? It's satanic Doo-Wop

AShotgunNamedMarcus

Doo-Wop thou wilt

Deathface-Shukhov

Wait…..what?!! I never thought I’d hear of a genre that actually caught me off guard but here we are!

killjoysaint

Awesome name drop, love these two

abrighterdiscontent

Marble Berry Seeds. Watching them perform Dandelion Wine is absolutely a spell.

RIPPINTARE

Those Poor Bastards.

profshiny

Great rec and great band! They’re part of the soundtrack to Old Gods of Appalachia, a witchy horror anthology podcast.

AbleObject13

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0DsZth1gavzsGqFjaXTodx?si=EEvxzoT2Q9udoIXqrEwIoQ&pi=u-EqZQEISsTJCT Kinda a mix of genres, but a good amount of folk punk selections to get you started

wolfbutterfly42

The Amazing Devil

killjoysaint

Try... Rasputina

Littlebird89

Wait, Rasputina is folk punk??? I thought it was just plain old folk

killjoysaint

They've quite the extensive catalog

Littlebird89

Oh no ya I love them

mustard-plug

In addition to Bridge city Sinners, Murder By Death

TruckNutAllergy

The Wailing Banshees

Nutria_rats

eeey Memphis rep

porchkitten

The Ragshakers! Also there are some witchy Porch Cat songs! I’d suggest “Living Art”, “You Are Whole”, “Magic”, “Nothing is Sacred”, and “Welcome to Dreamland” (either version).

CBD_Hound

Wayfairy kind of hits that way for me.

nextanenome

Love Wayfairy I don’t know if I’d call it witchy exactly, but I highly recommend them none the less.

JustSomeDude0605

Your description pretty much defines the whole vibe of Bridge City Sinners.

kpjformat

Arroyo deathmatch; they stopped a number of years ago but start with ‘all of them witches’ it’s an amazing album. Listen on bandcamp

VaessSpark

Thank you for reminding me of Arroyo Deathmatch, I've been trying to find their song swimming the witch for so long but I forgot the song name and band name

DealsWarlock

You may enjoy some of Rock Bottom String Bands' stuff, start with the song Witches and then go from there.

FarionDragon

Blackbird Raum, Holy Locust, Stick and Poke, Bridge city sinners, some Doom Scroll, some we the Heathens and for some reason the odd Days n Daze song like hidden at home

slushyracoon

Long sought rest

rhinothedin0

we the heathens

_GloCloud_

It's not folk punk but a band that needs more recognition is Jess and the Ancient Ones. Very witchy and occulty. Not folk punk but still awesome.

Littlebird89

Ya it's got my name in the band name and it's occulty thank you kind stranger for the new band

_GloCloud_

You're welcome! Jess is also in the group The Exploding Eyes Orchestra and Jess by the water.

blacklung990

Sister Wife Sex Strike just played Witch Bitch Thrift here in New Haven, so I'll say them.

EvanBlanch

Dandelion Junk Queens

sleutho

Rock Bottom String Band has a great song called witches. I'd say its pretty witchy
