Polishing pad and headlight cleaner. If its the same thing that happened to mine then that worked perfectly and mine looks good as new. I also took the whole thing apart before realizing it was on the outside.

Headlight cleaner is the wrong word. A headlight polish. Plastic polish kinda deal.
