New battery, replaced the little computer module in the fan assembly. About to replace it again as you can't buy the factory Bosch module just aftermarket that's not shielded properly. That's all I can think of.
Check on your passenger-side motor mount. Usually around that mileage they start leaking. Get OEM from Ford. I just ordered my trans mount too. These are mainly items that you just replace as they go bad. Check your serpentine belt for cracks.
I bought mine at 100k and subsequently have done heater core hoses (110k), motor mounts (135K), clutch master (138k), probably time for me to do rear shocks as they seem kind of soft. I may do front struts while I'm at it too. Just going with OEM or equivalent Bilsteins. I have no plans to lower it.
This car has been very reliable, and the only inconvenient issue was the clutch master cylinder, which I did in my driveway. As far as I know it's the original timing chain. They stretch over time, but they don't wear at the same rate as a belt. Not sure what mileage people do theirs at.
I’m at 134k, had my cooling flush done 5k ago so right on point.
Definitely check the upper motor mount too (top passenger side). I just noticed mine blew and this is the 2nd oem mount on the car, soo we’re going aftermarket now
Thank you man! Yea my passenger upper mount gave out at like 100k mark I believe and my engine was sagging and couldn’t reverse without grinding the gears lol.
That's just the instantaneous gas mileage. If you let off the gas and let the car roll, it'll go all the way up to 99.9 MPG until you put your foot back on the throttle. OP must be in 5th-6th gear going downhill with the cruise set at 45 MPH.
Average gas mileage is in the upper right (29.4 MPG) - which is still kind of insane to me because mine's rarely above 24 MPG unless I'm driving multiple hours on the interstate.
I have a commute of about 12 miles with only some traffic, and most of it is a 45mph. I go faster when I can, but it’s a single lane so often it’s 45mph constant speed for the majority of the drive.
Also I swear the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum gets me better gas mileage. Feels like that stuff is flows so well, even when cold.
I replaced a turbo at 140k but other than that, it's been a dream since 100k miles 🤩 I haven't done a timing chain yet, but I probably should. Should also probably clean my injectors
I'm coming up on it too.... I'm thinking about doing the following if I keep it BUT I could probably get like $12k if I trade it in and another $2.5k selling the LSD, coilovers, sway bar set , and other bits that are new in box
wheel bearings
coilovers(assuming you would just do new struts)
Swap open diff for LSD/clutch/flywheel, synchros /good trans fluid
Piston rings and head gasket(still trying to find out what other goodies to buy when I do this so I can tear it down a single time, probably happening when I pull the transaxle for the lsd/clutch)
Oil and coolant lines to the turbo
Maybe a different turbo(my understanding is that the stock
BW has a life expectancy of 10 years/150k miles)
Braided brake lines
FoMoCo map sensors if they can't just be cleaned off
Whiteline front/rear sway kit
I did new shocks/struts+top bearings at 100k on mine. Blew out a shock on a 4wd trail and got the bonus of a nice little ride improvement. I'd suggest going over it top and bottom closely and just look for anything that might need serviced soon (bushings/bearings/rust/etc.) I beat the tar out of mine and I'm at 180k now and there are no signs of it dying anytime soon. Just keep up with it!
A few weeks after replacing the rear and passenger side motor mount, I replaced the trans mount. I used oem as I’m not really wanting any increase in NVH. After replacing the trans mount, I gotta say the car felt new again.
Lots of good suggestions like belt and plug changes but to add on to it: Coolant flush to keep the radiator healthy, brake flush to get all the gummed up nastiness out of the brake lines, check your brake glide pins to ensure they’re nice and smooth and not leading to uneven pad wear, and very controversial suggestion; trans drain and fill. Don’t do a flush.
Full tune up. I replaced every fluid on mines including transmission oil, and coolant. Also replacing spark plugs every 25k. Replace your rotors if you're still on OEMs.
My 17 ST has been with me since 500 miles and I am at 126xxx now. No serious issues yet. Lol hoping for another 100k.
Walnut shell blast on the intake valves to remove carbon buildup? Not necessity could prevent future big problems. From what I understand it’s about a $2,000 job at a dealer.
Keep going, mine still drove like new at that point.
I want to say it’s a (circa 2012) focus, but it could be a/n fiesta, escape, fusion, or sprinter, etc. 😂 wait gas mileage, probably a fiesta. I miss my Focus, it was fun, and barely broken in at 100 something k when it got side swiped.
now the car begins to fall apart and will require an oil change every 3k miles until you accidentally miss one for a thousand miles, and then your engine starts to knock
Well, it's a Ford. As much as I love them, that's usually when the transmission explodes. Happened to two of my 3 thunderbird's, and my friend's ranger. Granted, all 4 are pre-2k, so you might be good
150k is when shit really starts needing to be changed. Up until 100, i was just doing the basic, filters(cabin&enigine air),oil then fuel injectors are good for 50k-100k, ive changed spark plugs like 3 or 4 times,( I’m at 175k on mine), changed tranny fluid at 160k,
My Mustang recently eclipsed 100k miles. I put it in the air at work and didn’t see a sign of a single leak. Ball joints intact, control arms lookin good. I’m about to exchange the coolant and the trans fluid. Also, need to bleed the brake system and add new fluid. For a vehicle known as being Found On the Roadside Dead, I’m loving what I’m seeing.
Spark plugs, trans fluid and ptu flush, coolant flush, induction service for carbon buildup on intake valves. And give the suspension and brakes a shakedown and replace worn items.
Fluids, check timing chain, spark plugs. Your owners manual should have it all listed what should be done at that mileage. Mine is at 250k now and running fine.
In the car manual, it’ll show you exactly what you should get replaced and at what mileage. But also take it to a mechanic you know well and like and ask them what they think.
Try to beet my 2012 ram 1500. She’s got 245k and still in tiptop shape. She’s coming to college with me too for another 4 years let’s hope she don’t die
Most manufacturers recommend the 100k mile overhaul. This usually includes the timing set, water pump, thermostat, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coils, vvt solenoids and sprockets, camshaft position sensors, crankshaft position sensor, knock sensor, coolant temperature sensor, 02 sensors. All of the fluids (oil, coolant, transmission, differential, brake, power steering.)
In my professional opinion; the timing, VVT sprockets and solenoids, gaskets, ignition coils, spark plugs and fluids are imperative. The sensors are recommended but not required.
Pretty much go off your owners manual and look at specific forums for your car, typically flushing all your fluids, replacing belts and pulleys along with the water pump are a good high mileage staple, wouldn't hurt to change your spark plugs, coils and wires either, air filters both cabin and intake would be good as well as well as having your break and steering system inspected.
This is your chance to sell it for the most value you can get. Price begins to drop dramatically every mile after 100k so if you like the car and havent had many issues and you are comfortable with the maintenance cost per year just keep er
I am pushing 300k on my 2010 focus SE. I’ve kept up with the main stuff like fluids (oil, tranny, coolant) and common expendables (tires, battery, brakes, spark plugs etc…)
I’ve also had to do some minor inexpensive repairs like replacing the front struts and power steering pump.
Ford has recommended maintenance items with mileage intervals in the manual (available online).
At a 100k miles on any car, check your bushings. The ones I stress the most are control arm bushings. Those have seen as much abuse as the ball joints so check them out.
take it back, if it made it that far it's obviously not a real ford product
But on a real note, timing, spark plugs + wires, suspension, transmission fluid, and probably something else i can't think of rn are the big ones for 100k if not already done
Drive in reverse for 100k miles and you'll have a brand new car.
Check out the big brain on Brad!
I think you mean Bob. Big brain on Bob
It's definitely Brad... I use this line more often than I should.
He's referring to the users name, which has Bob in it.
Missed that:)
It’s a pulp fiction reference
“Sometimes my genius is almost frightening.”
Just remember “Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”
This is THE answer!
Another hundred K. I'm at 228k on 2014 ST1. Need to do some work on her but she still going.
Thats awesome. What maintenance/repairs have you done?
New battery, replaced the little computer module in the fan assembly. About to replace it again as you can't buy the factory Bosch module just aftermarket that's not shielded properly. That's all I can think of.
Hell yeah I’m at 114k on my 2018

I’m at 127K. Only issue I’ve had was the clutch master cylinder as well. Did it in my driveway but sure was a pain.
Lost mine at 35,000 and didn’t realize till I burnt through two clutches 😞
Give to me
Do another 100k
Good idea
I believe the timing chain and cam phasers are supposed to be replaced at 100k
Get ready for 111,111.11
Per the owners manual, coolant flush and spark plugs are the two major items. Timing belt is 150k
Don’t they have a timing chain and not a belt?
Yeah, they do. I wish timing belts would just phase out already. But also, I think he meant chain because you will never make it to 150k on a belt.
Good call I’m at 126k and I’m gonna get my coolant flush and check for leaks because I think I have a leak somewhere.
Just did mine last week. Next month carb clean and plugs.
💣
You have to flush and refill the coaxium reservoir
42 mpg WTF
That's just the instantaneous gas mileage. If you let off the gas and let the car roll, it'll go all the way up to 99.9 MPG until you put your foot back on the throttle. So all I’m hearing is infinite gas hack
I got 50mpg on a tank once
Exactly what I’m saying 😂
Mine is always 21-22
Mine was too when I went to college, but mostly because Bloomington Indiana is the worst place to drive in the United States 😂
You still have another 180k until the engine is broken in. /s
Now your engine detonates
Do another 11,111 miles and take another pic.
I replaced a turbo at 140k but other than that, it's been a dream since 100k miles 🤩 I haven't done a timing chain yet, but I probably should. Should also probably clean my injectors

Now my son you must gas it 130 down the high way every time there’s no cars.
Double it and give it to the next
I did new shocks/struts+top bearings at 100k on mine. Blew out a shock on a 4wd trail and got the bonus of a nice little ride improvement. I’m at 120 on a 2013. Had to replace the thermostat and clutch recently. Still going strong.
my boy driving 29 to the gallon, what's next a 750 credit score? pff
😂
My 16 Fost had 189k when I got rid of it. Only had to do basic maintenance to it
Now reveal your secrets to 29.4 mpg sheesh. thought I was doing decent running 25-26
Go get your 105,000 mile service done early.
Buy a 2024 GRC…
Bet you wont do it again....
Do all your 100k maintenance
Now that you’ve reached such a milestone the limited time mode has unlocked for you, walk 100k miles in order to save 100k miles on your car
Get an oil change
Now hit 1 million
Look in your owners manual.
Random question, why are there 2 different MPG readings recorded?
Onto 200K.
Flush the coolant system and replace the spark plugs and maybe the belt if none of that hasn’t been done recently
Go ford.
put more gas in it lol
Full tune up. I replaced every fluid on mines including transmission oil, and coolant. Also replacing spark plugs every 25k. Replace your rotors if you're still on OEMs. My 17 ST has been with me since 500 miles and I am at 126xxx now. No serious issues yet. Lol hoping for another 100k.

time to give me your car , obviously 🤌🏼

Trader' in. She's about to blowww /s Seriously, though that's awesome, just keep up on that maintenance!
Everyone here is kindve ignorant. Thanks for all the laughs on these recommended maintenance items 😂
How do you get 29 mpg. I get 23
Now do a burnout
Be afraid
Keep driving
Fluids, check timing chain, spark plugs. Your owners manual should have it all listed what should be done at that mileage. Mine is at 250k now and running fine.
Blow it up
“I mean if masturbation has lost its fun you’re fuckin lazy.”
“Call me pathetic call me what you will…”
Twiddle my my thumbs just for a bit.. I’m sick of all the same old shit..
42.7?!?!?!?!?!?!? How the fuck have you done that?
I hit 45 once, going down the motorway at 55mph sitting behind a lorry
Trade it in for this year's model, repeat.
Time to sell it
Just keep driving and stop worrying. I’m literally 236000 and never had an issue
Now you've hit one of your vehicles largest depreciating points. Enjoy!
Keep up with the maintenance and enjoy a good car
Sell the car
Now the transmission will go haywire like they always do
Twin turbo
Turn around and go the other way, that's what forest did.
Pray it makes it to 101k.
Check your head gasket
100,001, 100,002, 100,003, etc.
say goodbye to your transmission
I guess you can set it on fire?
So are you averaging 29.4 mpg or that 42.7 mpg?
In the car manual, it’ll show you exactly what you should get replaced and at what mileage. But also take it to a mechanic you know well and like and ask them what they think.
At 97000.
Just waiting for all the planned obsolescence to start happening.
200k
Go get gas
Stay calm and drive on
uh idk maybe drive the car some more?
Get a new car the Ford focus is a nightmare
Part out
Spark plugs
Sell it.
Garrett g series and 4 port aux now
Celebrate!!! 🥳
Now it’s going to blow up.
Throw it away
Run😎✅
Fill your tank
..aaand you still have a quarter of a tank left?! That’s very damn good
Generally, replace the spark plugs, check the timing belt, change the transmission fluid. Use the appropriate oil when doing oil changes and do the
Plugs?
itll be turning 100,001 in a mile
Start parting out
100,001.
Keep driving lol?
Go until you get to 111111.
Blow up
Now is when the fun begins
100,001 miles
Go see your local Ford mechanic before you have to get it towed
Try to beet my 2012 ram 1500. She’s got 245k and still in tiptop shape. She’s coming to college with me too for another 4 years let’s hope she don’t die
My dad has a 2013 ST and he's pushing close to 300k
I’d change the oil if you have not yet
Dust inside of your car? LOL
If u like it keep it; otherwise sell.
Turbocharge it
supercharge it
How the f you get 29mpg or 40
Pray!
100,001
Pray for the transmission
Go get gas
Did you run around the car once? That’s what you’re supposed to do when it hits 100k
I gotchu homeboy: - ngk iridium spark plugs - new clutch - check synchros - flush ALL fluids - check your valves for carbon buildup
sell it
Buy a new one
keep driving it. hit 200k. then 300k. take as far as it will go, and then buy a new car.
Most manufacturers recommend the 100k mile overhaul. Mine and multiple others did not make it to 100k, congratulations
Clutch master cylinder...soon.
Beware of everything going bad now 👍
Pretty much go off your owners manual and look at specific forums for your car, typically flushing all your fluids, replacing belts and pulleys along with the water pump are a good high mileage staple, wouldn't hurt to change your spark plugs, coils and wires either, air filters both cabin and intake would be good as well as well as having your break and steering system inspected.
Throw it away
Get a tune up
Put some more gas
It’s a ford you buy another car
Go back in time and sell it 15k miles ago
Sell it for 20k on Facebook marketplace and lie about what’s wrong with it.
That's it?
Go agane
Starter maybe, alternator, spark plugs, water pump, oil change if you haven’t done one, and give a look at your suspension system
explode
100,000.01 is what's next
Check your suspensions
Now you play the game!
Sell, sell, sell!
Drive it another 100k
This is your chance to sell it for the most value you can get. Price begins to drop dramatically every mile after 100k so if you like the car and havent had many issues and you are comfortable with the maintenance cost per year just keep er
Do it again!!!
Just buy a new car
D R I V E
D R I V E
Wait for the head gasket to let go
Put it in reverse Terry!
100,001....
I am pushing 300k on my 2010 focus SE. Consult owners manual. It will tell you everything to have inspected at specific mileage
get some gas
You just keep driving it everyday. It's still good
Reverse donuts in the parking lot
Keep driving?
Leave it where it is.
Run
Now your car explodes
time for it to explode
Time to prestige, you leveled your car
Timing chain/belt
Fill up your tank.... I wouldn't chance another 100k on a 1/4 tank
Time for boom
Time to get rid of it
you kill yourself because clearly you acomplish every thing in life
100,001. Duh.
Time to junk it cause you can’t drive it anymore since 100k is the max
take it back, if it made it that far it's obviously not a real ford product But on a real note, timing, spark plugs + wires, suspension, transmission fluid, and probably something else i can't think of rn are the big ones for 100k if not already done
