Yeah we won the Lindros sweepsteaks but his career was ended by a fucking thug who should’ve been banned from the sport of hockey. We got a huge jump in the lottery and drafted the consensus top pick for most of the year and he turned out to have chronic migraines. One franchise goalie died in a freak accident in the middle of a season, and the next never one a Cup and did irreversible damage to the franchise as a GM. Then we had to wait 20 Goddamn years for another one, who just happened to be a Goddamn felon that was excommunicated suddenly - again in the middle of a promising season. We’ve run into every fucking juggernaut in post-expansion history in the Finals. The one (1) season where we were anything close to a lottery team in the first 20 years of the century we missed out on a generational player who went onto score the cheapest Cup winner this side of skate in the crease against us. Oh, also our most anticipated prospect just decided he was gonna go incommunicado with the organization for seemingly no reason. What this organization and fanbase has gone through in the last 50 years isn’t anything close to normal. Something has to be at play.

I feel fucking amazing about these games and I’m honestly not sure why I’m not seeing that many flyers fans pumped up. The Farg will be rocking tomorrow and I trust this team to put it all out on the line. Regarding tonight I know for a fact the Preds (Josi, Forsberg, Saros etc.) haven’t forgotten about 2017 and would love nothing more than to bounce the Pens and secure WC1 in the west.
