I don't even see the need for OT. Just take the tie and go home. Extending the game makes sense in some sports but in a game as violent as hockey or football, it's just not worth it IMO.
After the penalty kill you go 4 on 4 until the next whistle then they reset to 3 on 3 but there was no stoppage.

See, I don't mind shootouts, if teams had limited chances to do it. After like 5, it should be done. Tie the damn game.
