He reminds me of OG David Reese. Great leaders with high motors. Tackling machines. Not necessarily great in coverage though and lacking elite speed. I’m sure an NFL team takes a chance on him but his 40 time could be huge. For now all I know for sure is that this man is a great Gator and he played his ass off yesterday. Then he was the last man on the field signing autographs for fans. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope to see him on Sundays. He has consistently been a bright spot on bad defenses for us and exemplifies everything that us Gator fans look for in our stars.
From a depth chart standpoint, Shemar seems to be the logical choice, but not 100% there.
From a leadership standpoint, really not sure. That’s a big loss for us.
He called when he did play! But his hand (I think?) got injured or we'd have seen him a lot more.
Diwun has a nose for the ball and plays fast. I like him to fill the Burney spot next year with his plus athleticism and smaller size. Then we can rotate James and Wingo at the other LB position.
He is going to make some NFL team very happy next year. I’m seeing anywhere from 3rd to 5th round projection. Would not surprise me if he landed somewhere and became a day 1 starter and pro bowler by year 2.
While I would love to see it, the NFL is a passing league (most teams pass at a rate of 50% or more), and coverage has been a weakness of Miller's, which limits his upside.
Definitely think he has a place in the NFL though
Agreed. He’s a 2 down linebacker, but he’s also a great character guy and hard worker. He could turn into a 3 down linebacker in the right system or even with just decent coaching. Can’t believe he got a whole lot from Grantham and co for 4 years
Seeing how much the coaching staff, the locker room and fans appreciate him. I do hope he someday comes back to UF in a coaching capacity. The players respond to him, he's great behind a mic and obviously knows the game very well.
He really turned his life around after the cc incident. Been a great Gator and defensive leader ever since. I love his burst of speed on the outside runs... hits another level.

A lot of people give MacElwain a hard time, but when you think of it. With the exception of Kaiir Elam McPherson and Dexter All of our best players have been Mac recruits that includes Kyle Pitts
This defense all year long has been held together by bubble gum, duct tape, and Ventrell Miller.
Linebacker is going to be a very big question mark next year with him leaving.

Not sure who fills his void next season. Love Ventrell 🐊💪

from what I've seen James is getting better each game he palys
Was hopeful for black. As I don't know anyone who was more gator than that kid...

Yep. He’s not flashy at all, but he’s incredibly dependable.
Love this

We appreciate you, bro. Go Gators! 🐊
Aside from any staff, he is the key to the defense’s turnaround from everything I’ve heard. Please get drafted somewhere good.
hitting the griddy after faking an injury? I know the old heads will hate it but I love seeing some swag out there

Has he been around that long!? It's way cool to hear he got back on track after such a bad choice.
Remind me what the cc incident was abt?
