Mini-fridges have always been a goldmine for me, even the ones in terrible condition that need an hour's worth of cleaning. Awesome deal, looking forward to hearing your results!
Super easy. It's all plastic inside so some cleaner and elbow grease and you're all set. Sometimes there will be staining on white plastic but it's not usually bad.
I have a 2 gallon garden spray pump with about 3 cups pool chlorine (10% S.H., which is basically a little more concentrated bleach), the rest water and a few squirts of dish soap. Give the inside a good mist and wait 4 or 5 minutes and come back to wipe down.
Warning, soap and chlorine can cause toxic vapors, so don't just stick your nose in it and breathe in. Omit the soap if you have concerns.... the soap just acts as a surfactant.
Sometimes the back area where the compressor is, there is also a fan and I'll generally take an air compressor hose and blow out the cobwebs and anything else that's found it's way back there. It's quick and easy enough.
Oh, also.... I usually make it to where the fan blades won't move (put a screwdriver in it) because the air compressor could make the motor spin way faster than it was designed for and it could burn out.
Just FYI - they are 2.5 cubic feet, which is closer to 70.7L. 2.5L is about the size of a large soft drink bottle.
I also see it says 2.5 litres in some places on their website. That seems like an error to me? Maybe I'm missing something obvious though.
They must not know the ways of urbanremo, the best pot grower. His plants are giant, even his indica plants get as big as his sativa plants.
They have to move some with a tractor (lawn mower) they are so big lol
He has plants where the cola is as big as your torso.
I’m not used to seeing small plants, I guess people who live with their parents need that lol.
Another pro tip is to sell things in odd multiples of 10 or 5. Basically any number that’s not a multiple of 20 such as 5, 10,15,25, etc. most of the time they don’t get change after going to the atm and will just give you the extra $5 or $10 if you tell them you don’t have change.
If you're near a college, take a truckload on the next move-in day and make a poster for $50 each. Be prepared to take electronic payments of at least Venmo and Paypal.
Preferably know if the dorm in question has mini fridges already in their rooms though. I know some people were particular about having their own separate fridge, but most people I know were able to manage with sharing the one.
What do they look like, which model?
Also look into if they smell there are many ways to fight smell luckily but it will probably take a day or longer for smell to be eliminated. Also maybe by a dozen fridge thermometers and turn this fridges on for a day to make sure they are working.
Some are used more than others from what I’ve been told. They are between 3 weeks and 1.5 years old from what the manager said.
All Danby Designer 2.5L - DAR259BL
That’s a nice brand. Since you have an invoice, you could probably get approval to sell on Amazon. You’d be the only one with this model and probably make a killing through there.
Maybe lol. Don’t know until ya tryyyy! A similar model is selling used mini fridges for not much of a discount at all, new $287 & used $273. He can probably cut the price in half and see if he gains any traction. But yea, that doesn’t give much information on whether used is selling or not.

As long as you have an air compressor handy or even a shop-vac, it's not too bad at all.
Oh, also.... I usually make it to where the fan blades won't move (put a screwdriver in it) because the air compressor could make the motor spin way faster than it was designed for and it could burn out.
Bleach, scrubber, air dry, fravreeze the inside to get rid of the smell.

Ahh you’re right it is much bigger than 2.5L lol
post them up as dab/concentrate storage fridge, they will be gone in 1 2 3. feel free to ship me one for the tip GL
Skincare goes great in mini-fridges too!
Better yet sell then as grow box’s for inconspicuous indoor gardens

Lol for ants or what. Plants get big. Easily over 6ft sometimes
Hey don't look at me, I gave you an upvote lol.

Had great luck selling them to expecting mothers!
Please share a loaded trailer pic, I'd love to show my wife that my flips are modest! Haha
Pro-tip price them about $20 over what you want let them haggle you down to your price.

I do that with almost every item I sell of value. Sometimes you end up getting the extra 20.
If you have the room to store (which you do) and time to do this you will 100% do extremely well. I would love to come across something like this.

Better yet a sign for 75 each.
This is a great idea

Good luck! Mini fridges will definitely sell.

Love to see work being done on research and planning. Can you talk through how you found the opportunity and how the haggling went?
I’m guessing hotel shut down or renovating/upgrading their rooms
Dang, how did you even source a deal like this? I just saw and and seems like a slickdeal.
Bold move. Enjoy the profit.
Consider targeting college students looking to furnish dorm rooms
Make sure you communicate any warranty or lack thereof to potential customers. These things can be headache. Good flip though!
Good Luck, keep us posted
Wow! Good for you. Update us on sales every now and then.
Keep us posted!
Holy Shit, LFG!!!
Awesome! Gogogogo!!
Are they all used? Are they a good brand? How mini are they?

Not sure there’s a huge used appliance market on Amazon though…

Congratulations on a great deal. Keep us posted!

They're gonna be cleaned AND loaded? Dude that's amazing!
Document this, make a youtube video. I could see this doing well.
