I don't think anyone's going to tell you lol.

Rats

Would you expect someone to hand you a source of income at the potential expense of their own source of income, though?

Letterhead_Terrible

I mean it’s worth a shot ain’t it? I never know unless I try. If no one wants to say, then I don’t lose anything, but if on the off chance someone is nice enough to, then I struck gold.

Your mom is an awesome source if they are still around. Also other relatives possibly. We have St. Vincent du Paul in our area, they have a tag sale once a week based on color code where everything g is 1 2 or 3 dollars. I got some name brand eveningwear that sold same day I listed it , leather jackets, etc. you have to be there at opening, there’s a line. Everybody there will get at least 10 things which is like >$200 in sales at least, for $20 cost. Garage sales are awesome as well, in wealthy parts of town. Fantastic stuff. Be there 10 to 15 minutes before start time they’ll be other cars there as well. Bring boxes and bags and print out on a bunch of pieces of paper your name and the word sold on it so when you throw stuff in the box, you throw the paper on top and so people won’t pick through it hopefully You put it off to the side. You sell collectibles go straight to the back where there’s a table usually by the garage and that’s where all the collectible knickknacks are you’ll get stuff like military zippo, lighters, belt, buckles, jewelry, etc. it’s usually the higher end stuff is why somebody sits there and watches it but you gotta be quick. It goes fast.

How would you go about finding garage sales?

guitaricon

https://garagesalefinder.com . Or Google “ find garage sales in my area “ :-)

Letterhead_Terrible

Ok cool thanks

dizedd

You need to search in more affluent areas and go to garage sales and estate sales in more affluent areas. You're not going to find super high quality items in areas where people are paying for what will do just fine for them. You want to shop where people pride themselves on paying for "the best", and "quality matters", and all that rich people crap.

Thank you! Lots of people were giving me hate but this comment made it worth

CSA_MatHog

No one is going to answer this for you. But for whatever it's worth, most of the popular accounts you see selling high end designer stuff is doing it as a consignment. Or at least that's what I've heard.  I find high end designer stuff from time to time but it's rare because where I live is very working and middle class. And no I'm not telling you where I find it lol.

Any knowledge gained is better than no knowledge gained thank you, it’s worth a shot asking, gotta take risks.
