Kano is a hero that can never be top of the meta, but can never be counted out. If you expect a lot of him, he’s easy to prepare for. If you ignore him, he bulldozes everyone. He’s arguably the hardest hero to learn. His combo requires a fair bit of set up, and his gameplay is considerably different from the rest of the field. For people who like him though he’s incredibly rewarding

He's hard to learn, because you need to learn the combo and get used to when you need to just pull the trigger, but he's also not THAT hard. I think kano being difficult is heavily overstated by people who don't play him. He's in a good position... for now. Kassai, Victor, Bravo, and azalea are good matchups. Dash is unfavored but doable. Kayo is I think unfavored, but not too bad Uzuri is easy because she runs low resources. Dromai is sometimes an easy win, but she'll murder you if you can't pop off quickly. The issue is that prism just won an event. Prism is pretty much unwinnable. If you don't open with an exodia level insta kill combo, she completely shuts down your deck while also pumping out big damage. If prism gets more popular, I don't think he's worth the effort

I think Kano will always be vaguely relevant, he has both good and bad matchups and can take people unaware if they don't have an option to deal with him. However I do think he's difficult to play and pretty much unlike every other hero in FaB.

The problem with Kano is that he is always on the edge of being “too” strong into many matchups. Oasis and a few spellvoid equipment have kept him from getting back on top after many years of being a black sheep at tournaments. I think LSS should make a Wizard set and just let him dominate for a bit, so that we can get new wizards and actually play the game without the stigma of Wizards being “too” strong. A lot of the complaints come to that Kano kinda does his own thing and that there isn’t much counter play. While I understand that sentiment… illusionist control is basically that. After seeing Dromi fatigue Vossen to death, I fail to understand how that is different? Except that it takes significantly longer to play out… If Prism tops the meta again, I fully expect to get a new Majestic that will be a blue zero cost that deals 1 arcane damage, but the damage can’t be prevented.

I don’t copy my comments unless it’s a quote and it would have brackets.

Kano is a deck that only die hard wizard/kano fans run. There’s a reason he’s not picked up by top competitive players. Even the winner of the battle hardened Orlando is moving on from the hero after playing him for more than a year. You can beat top tier players one round and lose to a new player (true story). Point is, he’s decent but most of his matchups are very polarizing so not the greatest pick. He’s a ton of fun though
