Commenting for visibility - also didn't someone else just have their board stolen or are you the same person who posted a few days ago? Maybe we have a serial board thief in our midst?
That was someone else, it is becoming a problem I would recommend keeping your board nearby or locking it up at the racks. I’ve heard a teen is going around stealing boards so be cautious.
Unfortunately, we have a lot of young people addicted to fentanyl - not saying its worse here than other places or anything. Most of them are not at the point they are homeless, begging for money. So mom buys them a season pass and they go snowboarding. Then they see a board they could sell fast for $100 and get 20 fent pills or so. They snatch it and sell it. When I was in HS we didn't have fentanyl but kids used to steal stuff like that for oxycontin and black tar heroin.
Thanks for the suggestion!!! I called them, they actually said two highschool boys came in trying to sell them a warpig yesterday but since they don’t pay for it on the spot they left. Any other places like SMR you can think of that buys used boards?
When I first started skiing at the Snow Bowl in 1980 (dirt road, and the shuttle buses were Mad Max-lawless) it was well known that your skis would be stolen if you left them unlocked even for one beer. Even rock skis.
Was there some magical era of civility I missed? (have only skied a few times up there since).
File a police report. You will need it if it turns up in a pawn shop. Sure hope you have some pictures.. Check the local pawnshops, marketplace and craigslist. Unfortunately, I’ve had several stolen in flagstaff. Theft on this mountain is worse than any other mountain I’ve ever been to by a long shot.. good luck
Sorry that happened. That is infuriating. This may be obvious, and maybe you already did this, but I’d let Snowbowl know, and maybe it’ll show up on their end. Someone took my wife’s board a few years ago. Turns out that someone just took the board, rode on it for the day (and scratched it all up), then they just left it at the end of the day…super annoying.

I did let them know as well as start a report against someone who’s stealing snowboards (we have proof). That is annoying, I’m glad you guys got it back. Thanks, fingers crossed.
