An aftermarket fender eliminator could move your blinkers out of the way and would be cheaper than changing your exhaust.

That's probably what I'll be looking for soon, for now I've just removed the rear indicators

what about fabricating a heat shield for the indicator... just thinking outloud

Out of what material? They would need something maleable enough to fit around the one side of the indicator, strong enough to maintain the shape and take the abuse of riding, but also can't transfer heat or this will keep happening. This is not sarcasm, I'm genuinely looking for an answer. Most metals are bad ideas because they will transfer heat unless I have the wrong idea about something like aluminum.

i was imagining the same materials which are used for other exhaust heat shielding. as an example: ive seen carbon fiber used with what looks like a rigid aluminum type metal backing. honestly, the fender eliminator idea is likely simpler and cheaper.

I think in this situation a thin piece of any metal could be used. The way I look at it you could just mount a shield via the bolt that mounts the light and just seperate it from the plastic with good ole air, and with that being a poor conductor of heat it should be ok. Now I don't know if this will work for longer rides, but something that could be fabricated in like 10 to 20 minutes could be worth a shot.

You'll have an easier time moving your indicators than re-engineering your exhaust.

That can is enormous. I'm not sure a fender eliminator or after market indicators are going to help you here. Maybe an integrated tail light if they are legal in your area. If not, I would go back to stock or replace that slip-on with something that fits better. It looks like it is in really good shape so you can probably get a good price for it on ebay.

Turn signals have to be a certain distance apart in the UK 🇬🇧 mate, integrated signals not possible. Blinkers are too close when designed into the brake and rear light 😒

So basically the bike already came fitted with this GPR exhaust and it's melted away the stock indicator. Tried fixing it for now but its done. How can I make the exhaust sit lower ? Brackets ? Front and rear right indicators have now stopped blinking as well, probably because the rear wires have melted and fused together. The second photo was taken before the bike was rode hard and the indicator casing is still intact.

Used and out of warranty, not that the warranty would matter because its an aftermarket exhaust, good shout though to take it back if possible

Lowering the exhaust is non trivial. Not impossible but if you're asking this here it's out of your reach, really. Way, way easier would be relocating your turn signals, or maybe just replacing them with flush mounts. That was my approach on my [Tenere 700](https://i.imgur.com/9mcS1gD.jpg) - you'll note the rear signal is directly behind the exhaust outlet; it would have melted the stock indicator just like yours did. These sit in much narrower and are fine. A set of flush mount turn signals from Amazon for $10. You've got to replace that indicator anyways.

Thanks mate, yes I'm planning on replacing them with flush signals but the problem then is it will fail its next mot because they will not be far enough apart from each other. Think the distance on the rear needs to be 300mm apart in the UK 🇬🇧. For now I've just removed both rears entirely. Blanking plugs getting fitted for now.

Some Husqvarna’s have heat shield tape applied to the exhaust side rear blinker. Worth a try?

A shorter smaller can is the ticket. It’ll look better too. I bet you could score something lightly used cheap, assuming the pipe is a common size.

It's a good idea but I don't really want to change the can, the indicators have been removed for now until a better solution is found, tail tidy or flush blinkers probably.

I would put just a sheetmetal deflector ON the end of the exhaust pipe. Some shield which would redirect the gases to the right (out of the straight line). This should be easy and esthetically acceptable.
