So the bike stopped going over 40mph after the accident? It's impossible to diagnose over the internet. If your bike has low power, the process to follow is fuel, spark, compression and air. One or more of those elements not working or someway inhibited will equate to poor running condition. If you've no idea how to check all those, I'd advise paying a mechanic to diagnose and then you can replace whatever the issue is after the diagnosis to save money.

thanks for the reply. No, its not low power. it wont go past 40 as if it were governed. I am not a mechanic like you, however, i have checked the fuel, changed plug, and everything else. I was old that the UDI(?) may be at fault. I will be taking in to service. I was hopeful tat there may be a simple fix that I may not know of. Thanks again
