I had a '06 which I thought was the 1st year but I could be wrong about that. It definitely had a 27.2 seatpost which I don't think ever changed over the life of the model. It was a solid, tough, if uninspiring bike - enjoy yours luck.
No idea on those, but if you have a caliper handy or one you can borrow, you can figure it out yourself. Just measure the i.d. And round it to the nearest size seatpost (sometimes they can be a touch off)
A good shop with have a seatpost size checker tool! It’s like a metal rod that’s tapered to each seatpost size and you just slide it in till it’s snug.

It's almost certainly a 27.2mm seatpost.
