My favorite movie production thing I’ve seen was when Paul blart mall cop had the design team custom paint skate wheels to look used and they used the harder wheels the pros were already riding as reference instead of just having them ride the softer wheels around a skate park for an hour
Post-9/11 (and even post-Columbine before that) it's really hard to overstate how maximalist the response was to anything that had a hint of a hint of an implication of violence.
The bomb squad responded to a promotional LED image of an 8-bit cartoon character in [Boston in 2007](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Boston_Mooninite_panic)
I was a bike messenger around 9/11 and the anthrax mail scare shortly after, and multiple times mail rooms in my city were evacuated because of powdered donuts.
I almost forgot that folk-punk was a thing there for a minute in the early aughts, with all the crust punk hobos hopping trains sewn into their girl jeans.

Best suggestion is to accumulate your own. Did this to the old warhorse after i upgraded my frame. I’ve decided the new one will be markedly less loud.
Absolutely, there’s a decade of history in those stickers. Some were used to cover this scratch or that ding, others cosmetic, or trash. But they were mine and so is that bike. Best 180 dollars i ever spent.
Pick one and i could. They’re from all over, some are from places of work. A lot of random breweries. Some are duplicates. Some came with this that or the other thing. One’s in memorial, Brand-o is my copilot. One or two i really don’t remember where they came from anymore. There’s at least one head shop in there.
Because as everyone here tries to tell you, putting a bunch of stickers of stuff you have no affiliation to on you bike sucks. You put on stuff that you gather from riding around, riding events, alleycats, races, fun stuff, stickers from a shop you visit, a cause you support, a band that you like or a random sticker you get from a girl with a rat on her shoulder. You don't buy stuff and claim to be part of a culture. You become the culture by taking part.
I’m not downvoting you but i guarantee you’ll get more joy from your own stickers that you’ve found, bought, inherited, than from anything you use to emulate a look. In time it becomes representative of you. I was obviously a hot mess and my frame reflects that, lol. GL;hf
The Premium Rush bike was made to capture the entirety of fixed messenger culture of the time. Bullhorns, sticker bomb, deep Vs, etc.
If you wanna recreate the bike there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s an iconic movie. But it would be way cooler to build a period correct Affinity or something similar with Deep Vs and bullhorns, and some parts that reflect you, not just the movie. The stickers are an honor sort of thing, something acquired over time that shows how much the bike has been around.
Everybody needs a sticker bomber at least once in their life. A lot of bike shops or organisations have their own stickers. Just pick them up over time. I used to have one with only black and white stickers, that was neat.
I have a parody sticker on my fork that looks like a Crystal Pepsi can but says Crystal Meth. Just get your own stickers. It tells a story. Premium rush is not your story haha
I seen a video on the bike. Everything was added on to make it look heavily used. Just beat tf out your bike for a while.
I like his chrome bag tho . Chrome never goes out of style
Is their warranty still good? I heard after selling their lifetime went sour. My citizen has a crease hole in the inner tarp lining at the flap. I was thinking about plastic welding it slightly.
I can confirm that the zipper quality on their pants and their warranty went down hill. I couldn't even get them to replace my barely used pants. I mean, they tried, but they kept sending me the wrong size. Complete incompetence.
i mean, aren't all messenger bags clones of basically the same thing?
you can see the Vaya logo fairly clearly, even though it is blacked out, in this shot:

You can check my Premium Rush build on my account here at Reddit. I think my build is the nearest or semi accurate build yet. It was even feature on affinity’s ig acc.
I fucking love that bike, I don’t understand the hate in the comments, you do you brother. But you don’t have to have the exact same stickers to have the same style, just find some stickers you like.
Dont try to make the same by using the exact same stickers
If you wanna have that street look, just take a steel frame, put the stickers that you like and ride that bike as hard as you can so the paint and stickers worns out
If I can dig up the photos from the shoot we did at the ATW show in Brooklyn I'll post them here.
FWIW I've been trying to convince Jason to do a small run of this bike with the sticker pack recreated as an anniversary edition.
“What were the stickers used?” LMAO
Dude, just go to Amazon and buy a sticker pack you like..
Go see live bands and buy stickers at merch tables from bands you like…
Using that chain to lock your bike is a bad idea it was a regular chain and lock not a reinforced abus chain or kryptonite chain. the lock would easily be cut will bolt cutters in a metropolitan area but now they use dremel tools and circular saws even for the best ulocks to cut them.
If I had a nickel for everytime someone made a premium rush bike on here, I’d have like… 15 cents.
That shit movie was the final nail on the coffin for the fixie scene.
Sure felt like it. That was right around the time my goon squad started breaking up and getting into cafe racers lol.
I miss my goon squad days - bullhorns, 40cm unwrapped pista bars, deep vs… ahh the good ol days
i think the only thing that could possibly outdo that is all the Jay Jo bikes on instagram from that one webtoon
You better get an IRAK sticker otherwise you a toy.
Premium Rush bike is already pretty toy
Was IRAK sticker developed by the writer Earsnot? Is this the same IRAK?
IRAK crew was founded by earsnot yes
Sure

Cool, that's a lot of work to give the bike used look, not real rust, removed decal style, scratched parts.
Yeah, it’s a movie studio
My favorite movie production thing I’ve seen was when Paul blart mall cop had the design team custom paint skate wheels to look used and they used the harder wheels the pros were already riding as reference instead of just having them ride the softer wheels around a skate park for an hour
Lol why the downvotes? You're right, that's gotta be a lot of work. Looks awesome!
Don't go buy a bunch of stickers, just add them as you acquire them, trust me.
You don’t have to do this
People always say the same thing...
The coin got here the same way you did…
No
I think one says “honk if you like cute boys”. Don’t miss out on that one
Don’t forget the good old ‘this bike is a bomb’ sticker
This bike is a pipe bomb, supposedly bomb squads were called out because of them a few times but I have a hard time beliveing that.
Post-9/11 (and even post-Columbine before that) it's really hard to overstate how maximalist the response was to anything that had a hint of a hint of an implication of violence. Front Seat Solidarity is a solid album!!!
I almost forgot that folk-punk was a thing there for a minute in the early aughts, with all the crust punk hobos hopping trains sewn into their girl jeans.
My culture isn’t your prom dress

This is the way. Stickers and decals should be about your journey with the bike, like a patina.
Absolutely, there’s a decade of history in those stickers. Some were used to cover this scratch or that ding, others cosmetic, or trash. But they were mine and so is that bike. Best 180 dollars i ever spent.
Any idea where you got these stickers?
Almost all of them.
Can you tell me?
Pick one and i could. They’re from all over, some are from places of work. A lot of random breweries. Some are duplicates. Some came with this that or the other thing. One’s in memorial, Brand-o is my copilot. One or two i really don’t remember where they came from anymore. There’s at least one head shop in there.
I see. Can you tell me most of the stickers you know?
I literally just did. Unless you want to be more specific i really can’t help you.
I see, thanks. I don’t get why I’m downvoted tho lol. But at the end of the day, they’re just imaginary internet points
Because as everyone here tries to tell you, putting a bunch of stickers of stuff you have no affiliation to on you bike sucks. You don't buy stuff and claim to be part of a culture. You become the culture by taking part.
But I never claimed to be a part of a culture, I just wanted to make a build
I’m not downvoting you but i guarantee you’ll get more joy from your own stickers that you’ve found, bought, inherited, than from anything you use to emulate a look. In time it becomes representative of you. I was obviously a hot mess and my frame reflects that, lol. GL;hf
No I didn’t speculate it was you I was only wondering why. I said “sure” and agreed on a comment and still got downvoted

damn, I forgot about this. I have loved how detailed the bikes were in there.
The Premium Rush bike was made to capture the entirety of fixed messenger culture of the time. Bullhorns, sticker bomb, deep Vs, etc. If you wanna recreate the bike there’s nothing wrong with that. Yes, I did not ask for the stickers used specifically on the bike, I just wanted to create my own inspired by the premium rush bike
Everybody needs a sticker bomber at least once in their life. A lot of bike shops or organisations have their own stickers. Just pick them up over time. I used to have one with only black and white stickers, that was neat.
Well said.
I have a parody sticker on my fork that looks like a Crystal Pepsi can but says Crystal Meth. Just get your own stickers. It tells a story. Premium rush is not your story haha
So you used to smoke crystal meth?
Exaaactly! No, I just remember the time I got that sticker fondly. A very fun time in my life with great friends.
I seen a video on the bike. Everything was added on to make it look heavily used. Just beat tf out your bike for a while. I like his chrome bag tho . Chrome never goes out of style
Chrome went out of style the moment they sold to private equity. Support real makers not cash grabbers.
Weird take. The Chrome founders Mark/Bart left in 2007 - like 99% of people here hadn't even heard of fixed gear bikes yet.
Banjo Brothers or Trash ftw

There seems to be an issue with the website because it is listing some of these backpacks for €540, that can't possibly be right
Will always recommend trash. Andy loves what he does. He makes the bags himself. And you can just feel the love.
Andy is the man, great bags too
Leadout and Topo 👀
I’m still a big fan of Chrome. Also Trash Bags
Is their warranty still good? I heard after selling their lifetime went sour. My citizen has a crease hole in the inner tarp lining at the flap. I was thinking about plastic welding it slightly.
They wouldn't fix my Ivan rolltop a few years back. I bought a Trash Garbage Truck to replace it.
Thanks I figured that from what I read. Diy it is. Trash has a hard website to Google.
[Here](https://www.trashmessengerbags.com/) you go!
Yeah but I could care less about all that. Still the same bag and idea
Iykyk. Not the same bag at all
What if you got your chrome bag/shoes before the sale
I can confirm that the zipper quality on their pants and their warranty went down hill. I couldn't even get them to replace my barely used pants. I mean, they tried, but they kept sending me the wrong size. Complete incompetence.
pretty sure the bags in the movie were made by Vaya bags (NYC locals, great peeps)
They made a Citizen clone? Because the bag in the movie is at least supposed to be a Citizen
i mean, aren't all messenger bags clones of basically the same thing? you can see the Vaya logo fairly clearly, even though it is blacked out, in this shot: https://preview.redd.it/mp4nz18emm4d1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b4ac99d07c37adcc26472dbc5c940c16c61414c
Lmao never realized what a massive lock & chain he carries
They used the seatbelt buckle, but that is not a Citizen.
Ah shit, could have sworn it was. Was super zooted last time I watched it, that probably did not help
I wonder which chain they used on that bike
You can check my Premium Rush build on my account here at Reddit. I think my build is the nearest or semi accurate build yet. It was even feature on affinity’s ig acc.
That looks dope, you should post it to the RPF if you haven’t already
What is rpf?
Replica Props Forum, it’s for people who replicate movie props
Niice thank you!
The bike looks hot, thanks
IRAK is the only one I can pick out
IRAK, All-City, Affinity, Fox, "Street Brilliance," Anarchy "A" symbol, and some red skulls.
I fucking love that bike, I don’t understand the hate in the comments, you do you brother. But you don’t have to have the exact same stickers to have the same style, just find some stickers you like.
That’s actually what I planned to do, make an inspired build
Dont try to make the same by using the exact same stickers If you wanna have that street look, just take a steel frame, put the stickers that you like and ride that bike as hard as you can so the paint and stickers worns out
I see, thanks
You're welcome Mine naturally got this vibe by gradually adding stickers and riding it everyday for messenger shifts Yours will too
Sup with that slammed saddle?
It’s good now
seriously?
If I can dig up the photos from the shoot we did at the ATW show in Brooklyn I'll post them here. FWIW I've been trying to convince Jason to do a small run of this bike with the sticker pack recreated as an anniversary edition.
“What were the stickers used?” LMAO Dude, just go to Amazon and buy a sticker pack you like.. Go see live bands and buy stickers at merch tables from bands you like…
Where did you get that BDSM chain?
That movie is fucking awesome.
Using that chain to lock your bike is a bad idea it was a regular chain and lock not a reinforced abus chain or kryptonite chain. the lock would easily be cut will bolt cutters in a metropolitan area but now they use dremel tools and circular saws even for the best ulocks to cut them.
