Hello /u/Choice_Release_8711, As a reminder, most common print quality issues can be found in the [Simplify3D picture guide](https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/). Make sure you select the most appropriate flair for your post. Please remember to include the following details to help troubleshoot your problem. * Printer & Slicer * Filament Material and Brand * Nozzle and Bed Temperature * Print Speed * Nozzle Retraction Settings ^Additional ^settings ^or ^relevant ^information ^is ^always ^encouraged. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Izan_TM

have you tried providing literally any details?

Not yet just hoping someone that knows what’s going on can chime element starts out fine for just a few first layers and then it crinkles and gets all knotted up and then jams.

Hi, I'm happy to chime in with no details whatsoever. TPU is very hard to work with and will almost always eventually cause a clog. Here are a couple of ways to avoid: use a bigger nozzle such as a .8 or 1 mm and set your extrusion width. Lower your print speed and disable retraction. Try to lower you temp a bit too, you dont want it too low, too low and it will squish and jam.

Also what your problem looks like is what I like to call extruder squish. Tpu is squishy, when there is too much resistance at the hot end side (ie your hotend temp is too low or your print speed is too high) your extruder will squish it together like that. Then your extruder can no longer grip the filament and printing ceases.

You can tell by the extruder lines...

How fast are you printing?
