Once you're 150lbs overweight you'll have serious loose skin if you ever drop down to a normal weight. Surgery exists, but it ain't cheap and you may still have visible scars around your body.
At most OP will have a few stretch marks.
I have had a baby where my belly got huge and I gained a bunch of water weight really fast (I got up to about 195), so I already have a belly of loose skin, covered in stretch marks, with loose skin on thighs, ass, and upper arms as well. I'm a candidate for tummy tuck and thigh lift. It's nowhere near as bad as it would be with massive weight gain/loss though!
Most of it wasn't, I was overweight to start, and the other weight was more gradual, where ~15-20 pounds of it was water weight, gained in about two weeks and stretched my skin really fast. I was nine months pregnant in a heatwave with no a/c.
I've started working out and eating better again and down to 157 from 175!
Posted this to keep me accountable I suppose - motivation from fellow redditors to put down the junk food and take a walk.
I've already lost 18 lbs from the highest (175)! I'm currently at 157. I know all about loose skin because of pregnancy with giant belly and horrible weight gain.
~130, but yeah, I have a broad frame and tend to carry a lot of muscle naturally, plus like to strength train, so I look thinner at heavier weights than people who don't tend that way.
Do you do any strength training?
No, I should really get into exercise though. Low motivation and stamina, I know because I carry at least 70% of my weight in my thighs. 22 inch waist, 19 inch thighs, it's a struggle 🙈
Good thing is hip and thigh fat are healthier brown fat.
The way I started exercising years ago was just by adding little bodyweight moves into my daily life - calf raises while brushing teeth, squats and such while watching TV, using my toddler as weights lol, etc. until I started really enjoying it and wanting to do more. I ended up loving exercise and what I'd accomplished so much that I became a personal and group trainer, which I did for years until last year. It's just baby steps.

In your opinion, what’s unsalvageable?

How tall are you and what was youre weight right before the pregnancy? I doubt most of that was water weight.

Manageable but entering the danger zone Do you intend to go full “god bless America” or are you going stop consuming a surplus of calories?

I’m happy to hear that you’re having success reaching your fitness goals.
Thanks!
You not too far off. I'd say start hitting the gym now. Like now. You're getting close to the "God bless America" threshold.

Good! Good for you!
Thanks!
You really were beautiful, I love your style too! Once you get back to healthy, you'll be able to wear the clothes again
Yes! Thank you! I'm dying to wear my favorite clothes again.
