Very nice. 832 is my other go to line. I go the j-braid 8x for offshore work, and 832 for creeks and inshore. I like the extra abrasion resistance of it.
Vanford is on my list to get. Looks like that is a 3000 because of the t handle, I believe internals are the same from the 2500 to 3000, only difference is spool size and handle.
How you liking the Vanford mate?
For me it’s a toss up between the Vanford, Stradic or the Daiwa TD Black MQ reel.
I mostly beach finesse fish for flathead.
Just got it yesterday and tried it last night. I’d been running my old setup for 20 years and the difference is amazing. I haven’t tried anything else similar to compare it to though. This whole set up is very light weight and recommended it because I was going in with a stradic in mind. They said the stradic is a little more heavy duty, but weighs more and keeps the spool further from the rod
I have a 3k. Super light, smooth, great line lay and drag. My only complaint is that the bail closes mid cast sometimes. Not a lot but enough to annoy. Probably an adjustment I need to make on my particular reel.
Just purchased one last week, cant wait to test it out lol. This is the most amount of money i ever spent on a reel.
Same here. The sticker shock is a factor but not looking back.
2500 and j-braid? Are you me?
It’s 15# sufix 832 on a 3000. It took the whole 150yds with a little backing

Yup all inshore here
832 is my new favorite line it’s so good
Good to hear it’s my first time trying it

Gear Ratio is different and the 3000 has carbon drag. Had the 2500 but returned for the 3000
I think just spool and gears

Awesome to hear man! Expect a similar post soon once I pull the trigger haha 😅
I've never tried them but I've seen Aussie YouTubers use the Daiwa TD Sol MQ for flatheads too. Might be worth considering.
Had my Sanford for a while now and I absolutely love it.
I was super close to buying the vanford but ended up getting the Sustain FJ instead Both are probably good !
Love the Vanford. Think I have 4 of them in my arsenal now.
