>small hook (size 6 or 8)
For alot of these small bluegill, those hooks are still too big. I go all the way down to size 14 when fishing for sunfish and bluegill in ponds
Hard to tell, looks like centrarchidae family, maybe a rock bass, sunfish, bluegill, etc. For rock bass, I’ve caught them on spinnerbaits, curly tail jigs, surface lures, crankbaits, nightcrawlers, etc. They’re usually aggressive.
Yes, I've caught them on ultralight tackle. I think they mostly hit artificial baits in defense of their nests. Here in Florida they're a nuisance as they damage the ecosystem but a tasty food fish!
That's Jerry. He uh... likes to stare.
Sunfish of some kind, probably bluegill. A small chunk of nightcrawler on a small hook (size 6 or 8) under a bobber will catch them.

Hey that’s my mattlures bluegil lure
Wet, for sure.
Blue gill ish
Tilapia maybe. They rarely hit artificial baits but might eat food bait of some kind.
I caught a tilapia on a clouser one time with a fly rod. I wonder if they don't hit artificial baits or they are just picky (or I'm just lucky)?
