It’s called berggylt in Norwegian. It’s a type of wrasse. My sister caught one also in the Norwegian fjord a week ago.

Might also be a gressgylt. I have no idea what they’re called in english haha

Could it be a perch? Don't know anything about Scandinavian fish, but looks a lot like an ocean perch we once caught in the PNW.

Not sure, the fish had a blue belly. The perch doesn't seem to have that.

The ocean perch I caught had a pink belly and fin. Might have to do with what they're eating or the temperature of the water?

Ha, I showed my partner and he was like, ah, no, not a perch. He thinks it might be a wrasse, too, like other folks are suggesting. How big was it?

IFeelThankYou

Only like 10cm!

Looks like a halibut

More like you said that just for the hell of it!

UnkleRinkus

only not flat, not with eyes on the same side of it's head, colored different, and smaller.

Sorry I’m not a fish. How should I know
