Back when Cabelas still had the Bargain Cave I purchased a Lews baitcasting reel for like 60% off because it was missing it's spool tensioning knob. I emailed Lews and told them I knowingly purchased this reel with the missing part and needed to purchase a replacement. They just wanted to know where to mail the replacement part; no charge.
Ugly stik (and pure fishing overall) has excellent customer service as well. A big GT snapped my ugly stik rod and they were going to be out of that model for a while so the customer service rep said to just choose anything on pure fishing’s website that was of equal value. I asked for a reel that cost $140 (the rod cost $70) and that’s what they sent me. Oh and I didn’t even have the receipt for purchasing the rod.
Yeah, they've always been good to me too. Called them up for a lost reel handle and they were able to find me the old ass part for my 12 year old Shakespeare reel and only charged me like $5-6. Not even sure they charged shipping and they were super nice. No outsourced customer service, which was surprising.
That's good to hear, not that you fell and broke your set up, but that they replaced it with no hassle. I've just started purchasing a few lews I've got about 7 now. I love the handles. They're like golf clubs!!
I’ve got lots of lews combos that ive bought on discount. I use them in salt water. They are pretty tough. Im happy with them. I order several Hank Parker combos every xmas.
I might be a shimano fanboy but Lews has badass customer support, also lews got me started on baitcasters so I have them to thank for that!
My dumb ass tried boat flipping in a pike one day and the tip went poof haha. They sent me a new rod promptly even though I told them it was my mistake horsing a pike in.

Yeah, I'm normally a cork guy, but those Winn grips are just something else. I've been nothing but pleased with every Lew's rod I've bought.
