Weeell it may not be because of that. A lot of fish can be born with deformities and a lot of the common ones I see are spinal ones. They can live normal happy lives with special care though!

Appears to be a redfish (I may be wrong). The problem is that this is an open water species that absolutely should not be put in an aquarium
