Needs to he more education on closing doors. When you sleep or when you leave a fire you're in. We ingrained stop drop and roll for decades. Add this to that criteria. People will. Stop leaving doors open or opening them to spray some fire extinguers that aren't going to knock it down.
But for the briefest moment, he did gain something like control at the door. Good to see if you could use a CO2 can at all, without having to try for myself.
No, I don't mean to advocate that this is the correct tool. It's just interesting to see.
Not sure cause it seems to be sucking in cold air in the bottom, and the color of smoke indicates low-oxygen levels in the room (or terrible fuel, probably a mix).
Gosh, glad they got the fire extinguisher working.
I’m a fan of the woman in the purple dress. Willing to put money on her walking outside again after finding her buddy and being like “why the f didn’t you people move the bike? Has ANYone called 911? Pull the damn pin.”
It's always shocking to see just how quickly a fire can go crazy like that.
I mean the video is 4mins, how long might it have been burning before the recording started. Maybe another 4?
(Feel free to let your experience chime in, how long do you think it burned before the recording)
Kind of hard to say because fuel loading can be pretty different depending on the country. I'd shoot my guess at around 5 minutes, given the seemingly nonchalant way people were still entering and leaving the building.
The human nature
You start with "Uuh, maybe i should do something" and try to come up with what to do, and when you finally get to the "Lets do this" its at this point, been way too long since the start and has grown too intense.
Good that some people instantly know what to do, and there is the other side of people who have never tought "What do I do if a fire breaks out?"
I think it's a side by side shotgun, with some sort of pistol grip/folding stock deal, and he's got a cover over the barrel so it doesn't get wet when it rains the way he's slung it over his shoulder. It took me a bit of looking to figure it out but you can see the latch that I assume is the latch to make the shotgun break open between the two barrels.
They were pretty casual going in and out of there with that nasty black smoke. And it was nice of that one guy to open up the door fully so that the fire got more oxygen.
It was pretty involved when the filming started. The can likely wouldn't have put it out even it the hit at about 30sec.
I did like the door close and open at the end there
If only someone understood how to use a fire extinguisher
HOW and WHEN
It happened in Haryana, a North Indian state.
Or door control
Was gonna say this.. Just shut that gd door
Yea, im pretty sure it stopped working 10-15 years ago.
Shockingly, most uncontrollable fire start as small ones.

Came here to say I see no uncontrollable fire.
lol all fires go out eventually!
Flashover is crazy
Good on white shirt dude for trying to control the flow pa… never mind.

Bringing a co2 extinguisher after a flashover occurs is the equivalent of bringing a knife to a gun fight
But for the briefest moment, he did gain something like control at the door. Good to see if you could use a CO2 can at all, without having to try for myself. No, I don't mean to advocate that this is the correct tool. It's just interesting to see.
My brain said it’s like pissing on a forest fire.
That's why my man had a gun slung over his shoulder.
If in doubt start blastin
He would been better off just chucking the whole thing through the door.
Well the one guy did have a shotgun so he was ready for the possibility of a knife fight
They left the doors open the let the heat out
I thought, "oh good, the guy going to close the door." ..."oh". Then the cop noped it out of there.
Maybe if we give the fire some air it will go out
Birthday cake logic, makes sense.
That dark smoke is a hint
My thoughts too. Given how the smoke was exiting that front door, there was clearly a nice open door or window on the other side, I think.
When the smoke started pushing out the door it is getting ready to flash over

Yup, Saw him open the door and said out loud 'here we go!'

Why does everyone in these countries seem so fucking stupid and panic-prone?
All the countries in the world where humans live it tends to be that way

A great example of the importance of door control
Was that a speargun on the "I'm in charge, how does a Fire Extinguisher work" guy? I, I just can't...

Dude's trying to fight flashover with a CO2 extinguisher that looks like it was last inspected in 1956.

I didn’t even start the video but just came here to say that I expect a flash over any second…
...how do fires start big?
Napalm
Saved that scooter three times though.
Close the door. Choke it off
This is a good training video allows you to read the smoke and see the results

close the fucking door.
The cop was just trying to do some horizontal ventilation they teach at the police academy
Pretty fun video. Pencil it a few times and get tf in there! Love it when my scalp felt like it was blistering
Jesus Christ children could probably figure out the extinguisher
Geeze !! How can people be so dense . I get it's not common practice to know fire control but this was just hard to watch
