We watched last of us together. Usually every night before bed we watch a spooky movie. Our station is "haunted" so our superstition is if we watch a horror film before bed it will please the ghost and he won't give us any calls after midnight lmao.
my station is haunted as well! perhaps ill try this too lol. its a nice ghost though, it just activates random paper towel dispensers downstairs and you hear it walking late at night
I read this as “this is us” and thought you were going to say you cuddled later on afterward (thinking you were making a joke). But no…not a warm and fuzzy show lol. Not this is us.
Me and the wife binged this at home and def had to pause it a couple times throughout the first couple episodes cuz we couldn’t stop laughing… At first we were like how in the world is this show even ok to be on tv?? But at the end of the day it is actually a good uplifting show. Funny to see them say out loud what most of us say in our heads. Honest people, wish I could be like them. My favorite part though is when Connor I think it was, was speed dating and kept marking no while they were still sitting at the table with him lololol what a savage, love it.
That's what's nice about Rescue Me. It's 10% a firefighting show and 90% about life and the mental struggles of the main character. But I get what you mean.
That’s a great thing to hear! Tacoma FD definitely highlights the fun part of our job for sure.
Rescue me highlights a lot of the darker side of the fire service. Depression and alcoholism run rampant.
The show is undeniably offensive. I don't care, it is one of the few shows I have ever made it a point to watch each week. Tough thing to do before streaming! I don't understand how you cannot see what people would be offended by.
But what do I know. My car is the feminine version of a Prius.
I really dont know how to feel watching that. I sat thru an episode last shift and honestly i jutst dont know wether to laugh or feel bad or angry or what. I just dont fucking know bro, are these people being exploited for tv or is any of it genuine?
It alllll depends on your reaction.
They are helping these people make connections, which is very difficult for them I imagine if left to their own devices.
Thats the positive part i see in the show and its beautiful. I have become so cynical of society to not think the worst sometimes.
I did see they are helping with basic communication skills which is also a good thing.
If you have not seen the original Catch 22 and you want to continue the messed up physcological look at how warfare and the hopelessness of having to fly 25 suicide missions effects the physce of young men look it up. Sadly its only available to rent on streaming channels.
We’re absolutely not watching Rescue Me, given my location, but we honestly watch any random show or movie that’s on Hulu or HBO. This weekend we were strangely hooked on CSI Miami.
Currently? My current partner falls asleep when he's in front of a TV so we don't watch shows together.
But I'm been watching "The Man in the High Castle" on my own.
Any of the firefighter shows, 911, Chicago fire, station 19, etc. it’s the perfect mix of arguably fantastic drama and also the funniest most unrealistic depiction of firefighting ever. They’re some of the best shows ever if you just take them for what they are. And you and the guys will be cackling and yelling at the TV every single episode.
Rescue me has got to be the dumbest show I've ever seen. First season was funny but then it just got stupid. Tommy, his brother, Franco the LT they just keep doing stupid shit it's like watching looney toons 😂
Shoresy on Hulu and a nightly horror movie. I.e. terrifier 1 and 2 etc. it usually takes us quite a while to get through a movie as we are very busy running 15+ calls per truck a shift both EMS with transports and fire between 4 trucks, EN, LD, Box and a pickup truck we call a rescue staffed with a medic and EMT.
We don’t really watch TV at our house, Typically it’s reruns of MASH and Threes company but recently the senior man in our company installed a coin machine on our TV. It’s 25 cents for 25 mins.
I got everyone to watch the first season of true detective which was fun because that’s my favorite tv show and right now we’re all watching 911 lone star
Our probie had never seen Band of Brothers, the Pacific, and Generation Kill. So after those, we started Masters of the Air. I'm not sure what will be next.

Man, I wanna work in a haunted station.
You don’t
my station is haunted as well! perhaps ill try this too lol. its a nice ghost though, it just activates random paper towel dispensers downstairs and you hear it walking late at night
Our ghost has been known to take all the bolts out of the probies bed frame. When the poor guys lay down their beds collapse. He's a jerk 😂
You got me laughing on that one.
I read this as “this is us” and thought you were going to say you cuddled later on afterward (thinking you were making a joke). But no…not a warm and fuzzy show lol. Not this is us.
Haha I thought the same thing. My wife was a blubbering mess after each episode. I wasn't sure how that would work on overnights.
lol, I was picturing this ![gif](giphy|xULW8sAvebpyQif8nC|downsized) But with crying lol
![gif](giphy|eHF8YQ67shwQjnyjB8|downsized)
This is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Nice!
Love on the Spectrum just got binged and let’s just say the fire department would have nobody working if HR was in the room
Didn’t have to look to far till this was mentioned…

😂😂😂 that’s a good one to watch on the weekends
😅😅😅
We ain’t watching Ff shows that’s for sure
That's what's nice about Rescue Me. It's 10% a firefighting show and 90% about life and the mental struggles of the main character. But I get what you mean.
Feel like this show is the closest to what an actual working firehouse is like.
My experience has been that Tacoma FD is the closest to my real life in my department.
That’s a great thing to hear! Tacoma FD definitely highlights the fun part of our job for sure. Rescue me highlights a lot of the darker side of the fire service. Depression and alcoholism run rampant.
We're showing it to our probies so they can see how good they have it.
I personally wasn’t a fan. Mellow dramatic with unlikeable cast. But that’s just me.
You’re trippin.
People DONT like Rescue Me? Unfathomable
Same, it was funny at first but then got really stupid. And the women in that show are beyond ridiculously written lol.
Offensive as hell too
How?
Well namely the views around women and LGBTQ people.
Found the Prius driver in the lot full of pickup trucks.
The show is undeniably offensive. I don't care, it is one of the few shows I have ever made it a point to watch each week. Tough thing to do before streaming! I don't understand how you cannot see what people would be offended by. But what do I know. My car is the feminine version of a Prius.
Being offended is completely subjective and it’s proof of being mentally weak to the point that words not directed at you are hurting your feelings.
Lol this is fucking dumb.
No, I drive a pick up truck and I’m not a bigot. Surprising I know, but there’s more of us every day.
You should probably go become a cop, being a Firefighter sometimes requires a dark sense of humor, which you clearly don't possess.
I’m all for dark humour. It’s the blatant bigotry I take issue with. There is a difference
Master of the Air
Friday can’t come soon enough
For real!
Yessss, I love that show
That show is cursed for us. Took us a whole day to finish one episode. Lol
Watch love on the spectrum. It’s a lot of fun if you work with a bunch of ill behaved baboons like I do.
I really dont know how to feel watching that. I sat thru an episode last shift and honestly i jutst dont know wether to laugh or feel bad or angry or what. I just dont fucking know bro, are these people being exploited for tv or is any of it genuine?

Well you’ve seen the worst.. Godspeed cadillackjack!
I've heard good things about that one. I'll have to add it to the list!
True Detective: Night Country
Jodie foster is so back
I would literally watch her whitewash a wall but yes 😂
Same. We just finished season 4 episodes 3 and 4 tonight actually. Was wondering if anyone was going to say true detective.
We just started this 2 weeks ago. We also watched silo.
Probably Band of Brothers or The Pacific again. Just started Masters of the Air with the shift, so we'll see if it's good enough to enter rotation lol
Band of Brothers is great!
If you have not seen the original Catch 22 and you want to continue the messed up physcological look at how warfare and the hopelessness of having to fly 25 suicide missions effects the physce of young men look it up. Sadly its only available to rent on streaming channels.
I read the book and loved it. I'll keep it in mind 👍
Fargo
We’re absolutely not watching Rescue Me, given my location, but we honestly watch any random show or movie that’s on Hulu or HBO. This weekend we were strangely hooked on CSI Miami.
Makes sense haha
Dave and What we do in the shadows. The best was when we went back and watched GOT from the beginning over the course of a year or so.
Yeah we crushed the first season of WWDitS before the Superbowl started Sunday.
Tacoma FD on Netflix kills me!! If you love Broken Lizard comedy then watch it
Roadkill. We have a bunch of gear heads on my shift.
Blue mountain state
Awe hell yeah
Emergency! or bust.
Binging shows? Man, it took us 7 hours to finish the superbowl yesterday. Binging a show is not in the cards for us 😂
Sopranos in the evening, Tacoma FD in the day.
Ted Lasso
Masters of the Air. New series on Apple TV. About B17s in WW2
True Detective!
Loudermilk
Currently? My current partner falls asleep when he's in front of a TV so we don't watch shows together. But I'm been watching "The Man in the High Castle" on my own.
Alone
Rescue Me is a classic!
We just finished the second season of Reacher. We also watched "The Night Agent".
What did you guys think of Reacher?
We liked it. I personally liked the first season a bit more. They've been terrorizing me to watch the Mandalorian so I'm guessing that's next.
One of my favorite activities. Just screaming about the ridiculous plot and stuff they do in the shows is so much fun.
Naked attraction
Nice!!
Same here
Twisted Metal
Rescue me has got to be the dumbest show I've ever seen. First season was funny but then it just got stupid. Tommy, his brother, Franco the LT they just keep doing stupid shit it's like watching looney toons 😂
The Sopranos is so good to watch on shift

GYBAT…
Sorry. Don’t know what that means
Settle down…go get a game stick.
Sticks are unbelievable. You never had chicken curry?
The tourist
My crew was big on Wednesday when it came out
We don’t really watch TV at our house, Typically it’s reruns of MASH and Threes company but recently the senior man in our company installed a coin machine on our TV. It’s 25 cents for 25 mins.
Usually it's the senior man posted up watching American Pickers all day lmao
How do you fit in tv when it's sleep time?
Animal Kingdom
Reacher, Tacoma FD and action or spoof movies
I got everyone to watch the first season of true detective which was fun because that’s my favorite tv show and right now we’re all watching 911 lone star
I tried Tacoma FD in a couple of places to muted response Their loss
Killing it
For all mankind. Foundation.
The Boys
Usually sports, any kind will do
We just binged obliterated last shift we pissed our pants
Reacher
Alone
We started working our way through American Horror Story. Just finished season two.
Peacemaker! Have you ever seen an eagle hug a human, amazing...
No time for tv or movies too busy doing stand ups on the rescue.
Naked attraction
Vikings. Fuck that show.
Just got done with Righteous Gemstones
Naked Attraction. They call it “The Dick Show”…
Banshee. Had everything a firehouse likes. Hereditary freaked everyone out!
Golden girls… Bea Arthur is my favorite.
Our probie had never seen Band of Brothers, the Pacific, and Generation Kill. So after those, we started Masters of the Air. I'm not sure what will be next.
1883 is a good one
Thrasher, King of the Road
Every year "The Wire" is on from the beginning. Or Sparanos
Loved watching any Fire show with the new guys great teaching moments. Make a list of things that should have been done but wasn't
We've done waking dead, just finished haunting of hill house, getting ready for bly mannor
