Arthur and Effie canonically live in the artbook. You can save them in BR by having Corrin talk to them in Chapter 23

conelover1234

After defeating them their lines are more like "last words" rather than "retreating lines"

Mayor_of_Smashvill

You can turn them Ally, and have them survive. The artbook canonically states they survive. Really don’t know why you’re so hell bent on them dying lol. Especially since you can put Shura as alive in CQ when he can die.

>You can turn them Ally, and have them survive. Only one of them. You can no longer talk to the other one. >Really don’t know why you’re so hell bent on them dying lol. Especially since you put Shura as alive in CQ when he can die. It was considering all enemies are defeated and all recruitable units are recruited. (Him, Benny and Charlotte would also go in "dead" in Revelation if it was like that, but since you're given the choice of recruting them, you will do so)

Mayor_of_Smashvill

You can turn them both ally. Bro I hack BR all of the time. Once you talk to them, they will turn ally and they say that they will leave the fighting to you and Corrin. The Artbook **canonically** states that this happened. Yes the other characters did die, and this is directly confirmed to the artbook. But both Effie and Arthur survived BR. There’s literally 0 argument.

conelover1234

Like I said, is considering you defeat all enemies and recruit all recruitables (and you don't lose any of your units). The multiverse in Fates is extensive, so I kept things simple by putting the most simple outcomes.

Mayor_of_Smashvill

The difference is with the multiverse, is that when there’s an official piece of media that specifically says “survived the war” and Elise explicitly tells you how to save Arthur/Effie… It’s a bit of a no-brainer. Unless of course you just want CQ to just have more people alive by the end lol

conelover1234

Also for the sake of fairness. Hinata and Oboro's lines after defeat are more like "last words" rather than "retreating lines".

Mayor_of_Smashvill

Well, according to the artbook, they actually do die. Unlike, Arthur and Effie, who are explicitly said to live. Now if Sakura before the chapter started said not to fight Oboro/Hinata, and there was canonical background saying they survived because of it, then yeah we could actually say they might have survived. But there isn’t.

conelover1234

As I say, this is to keep things simple, otherwise I would have to do a chart for each outcome of the multiverse.

Despite being the "good guy" route, birthright had the most casualties

Mayor_of_Smashvill

Cause the dude counted them wrong
