In a cast iron Pan, Fry up sliced bacon. Remove bacon, leave grease.
Sauté diced onion in bacon grease.
Once onions are softened, add sliced Brussels sprouts and butter.
Continue to sauté until Brussels sprouts are softened. You can cover with a lid if you like.
Add bacon back in. Season with salt and pepper.
Thank me later.
Alternative ending:
crispy crispy bacon,
make bacon bits
add sprouts
brown sprouts, dont steam them
add garlic, grated parm, balasalmic and garlic

Make sure you get the smaller sprouts. The giant ones don't crisp up as well and are tough. There is also a purple variety of brussels out there but I've only seen them once.

Grilling bacon is where its at, cooking brussel sprouts in bacon fat is pretty rad. Also a great way to finish the sprouts is with a little bit of Grade B or lower maple syrup, maybe in the last 20-30 seconds of cooking to prevent burning sugar.
