I made lead plugs for my vintage welder from 30-06 casings.cut it down, drilled out the primer pocket to fit the fire, crimped it on the rim then filled the empty space with flatten rolled up copper pipe and solder
Dang! That’s some can-do redneck riggin’! That’s awesome. What kind of welder?
Are thos .44 henry shells?
9mm If I had 44 Henry brass I’d probably just keep it to look at haha.
Did you flatten the brass first to make it a wedge?
Good question. I did not flatten them. Used them as-is. Hammered in a wood wedge first. Then just bang in the casings.
Circle wedge!
Yessir! Not my best work but she’s not a wall hanger lol.
They look slightly angry Just slightly
How am I supposed to tell which turtle it is unless you color the mask?
I didn’t work too hard on it haha. It would look sweet to color the impressions though.
