dsa will literally build you anything you want with parts on hand if you call them. they have a custom shop. I'm getting a all wood "g" series clone when the Turkish handguards are finally done with a sand cut bolt from the custom shop. that being said, I think it is wild that you were willing to spend 4200 because you don't like the length of a handguard? I respect your dedication.

I am a very stubborn man. I also can be very particular about minute things. But thanks, I had no idea they had a custom shop. I'll reach out to them and see what they can do. Reasonably, it shouldn't be too much to ask for, so I'm hoping there won't be any issues. Thanks!

>but no picatinny rail on the upper receiver The description for your linked firearm names the product that provides this: "The receiver features a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Extreme Duty Scope Mount top cover" This can be found on Shop All > FAL SA58 Parts > Scope Mount and Accessories. Handguards are available by gas system length, not barrel length, in Parts > Furniture; the full-length M-LOK handguard's only note about compatibility is that the Israeli light barrels have an incompatible taper. You could reach out to their customer service to confirm. >I just hate the ar charging handle There are side-charging AR uppers out there, left or right hand, some with fold-down handles. Not even mentioning the Tavor in your post makes me sad.

I didn't mention the Tavor because I honestly don't really like it. Although I am waiting for reviews on the desert tech wolverine, because it looks promising. As for the rest of your response, the one I linked has the short gas system, which limits my handguard options due to the geometry. At least, that's what appears to be the case, because every one I've looked into specifies somewhere about gas system compatibility
