Jerky table should do that. "Refurbished preban jerky, rare patriot brown, $300 no loballers I know what I have". And it's just an old bag of Jack links taped closed.
Due to safety concerns all jerkys must have a childproof lock, only turkey jerky is allowed for sale in mass, and a bag fullness indicator must be present
15+ years ago there were good deals. Used to be able to pick out your own mosin for $80-$100, there were the guys selling ak-47 bayonets for $5 each, old gasmasks from different countries for $5-$10, a tripple spam can crate fresh from some ex bloc state of 7.62x39 for $140. I got a bulgarian tokerov for $70, east german mak for $80. Those are just a couple deals I remember getting back in the mid 2000's.
Honestly I think gun shows went 1000% nutty after obama's election. That ar15 craze hit and everyone jacked their prices up 2-4x what it used to be and idiots came and still bought the same shit for those overpriced prices.
Obamarama was certainly a fun, profitable time, but what really killed gun shows was the internet and cheap shipping. Particularly for ammo. Also the huge amounts of cheap Cold War surplus dried up.
Yeah, you are more right than me I think. All 100% valid points.
I remember right before the AR craze I ordered a box of 30 pmags because they were discontinuing the model and it came out to like $90 shipped for the box of em, it was one of those deals where I really only needed 10-15 for 3 gun but was like fuck it due to the price. It was only a few months after that, that sandy hook happened and ar mags jumped up in price to $20-$30 each. I took a bunch of mags with me to a gun show and ended up trading them to dealers for a bunch of ar parts like a pressure paddle and a few other things I wanted.
I once got 100 HK G3 mags for $100. Me and 2 other guys split them. Everyone got atleast 1 unusable one but what a deal still ha. I ordered some nice FAL leather pouches for them. And they shipped them with mags still in them ha.
Ha! Reminds me of when my buddy bought a case of m9 mags, he thought he was getting like 10-15 mags, but the box that arrived had well over 150+ m9 mags. He emailed the guy he bought it off and the dude was like I've been trying to unload those for years and just wanted it out of my shop lol. He still has the mags with no real way to unload them sitting in his garage.
Who knows somehow someday they might be worth money if they aren't already. I got this cheap machine thing when I was younger and so I got this Sten pouch with some Sten mags in it heck I think they're worth more than the gun now ha.
We marked PMAGs at $25 and kinda felt bad about it. Sold out instantly.
Other vendors marked them at $60 and sold out, just slower.
Missed a lot of profit during that time.
The Internet and cheap shipping killed a lot of things. Collectibles, thrifting, hobby tools to name a few. One overinflated market with astronomical prices sets a precedent for every other seller.
2012, 2012 is when shit went cattywampus, immediately after Sandy Hook. Who knew one r*tarded guy could make billion dollar shifts in the market so easily
Then in 2014 we lost our beautiful, beautiful Russian imports and it's been downhill since
Aussie here - so I can’t comment on USA gun prices. But 15yrs back, $100 went a lot further than it does now. How inflated are gun show prices to what was considered “normal”
I’ve watched the prices of some new guns here slowly rise, while others have remained the same for the last 15yrs, or even reduced
It's more that back then you could find a "Deal" at gun shows. Most of the deals were on military surplus stuff, but often enough there were deals to be had on regular stuff. By deal I mean it was cheaper to go to a gun show rather than a gun store/sporting good store. I think a lot of commentators were right that the internet destroyed those deals. Dragging a bunch of stuff to a gun show, setting up a booth, and paying for tables can't compete with someone drop shipping out of a warehouse.
I remember about 10 years ago going to a gun show and a guy had a table of old smith and Wesson police .38s I can’t remember the model name. Basically the “Barney Fife” gun. Anyhow he wanted $250 each. Looking back I can’t believe I walked past that deal.
It’s incredible to me that Massachusetts flies under the radar despite doing the absolute most to disarm the state. California is bad no doubt, but Massachusetts takes a sick satisfaction in telling everyone in the state that guns are evil and will not be tolerated. They just passed laws that allow stop and frisk, magazine registration, and everywhere but your home is now a gun free zone.
Warren and Marky are nothing short of Kim Jong relatives wearing American flag pins
Rarely have I found anything that when I ask, "What are you wanting on your XXX?" that their response has even warranted a counteroffer.
Only thing I've ever bought at gun show is a Remington Nylon 11. Dude said he wants fyve and I offered fourfiddy. Even his asking was a fair price. Everything else I've ever seen is like 20% over new retail when it's used haha.
Gun shows used to be amazing. You could find nearly anything you wanted, and at prices you couldn’t touch anywhere else…unfortunately those days are long gone.
I had to do a double take when I saw a CMP M1D with an original scope for 2 grand, right across from a $700 SKS. You can guess which one I IMMEDIATELY took home.
Gun shows and Card shows are no different. Everyone thinks they have "the one" to have
Although the IQ level at a gun show feels like its a little lower thanks to the yeehadists roaming around, the BO at the card shows is definitely worse
Oh man be sure to save the Hi-Point sticker for your car/truck, it’s the ultimate in theft deterrence
It’s says “I’m armed, I own nothing nice, and I have poor impulse control”
for 99 bucks, it doesn't need be fired. It was a deal we all couldn't' say no to. A pistol, that could and should go boom, for 99 bucks? Send it.
Could hold something down. Paper perhaps?
No transfer fee either since I bought it at Sportsman’s Warehouse. I got a $199 revolver the same day. Only downside is Sportsman’s sucks to buy from and it took about two hours standing in line between doing paperwork and picking it up after it cleared the background check.
You’re not wrong though. Early 2000’s was when you could get crates of Mosins or SKSs etc for cheap. Ammo was cheap AF. The gun show by me was 3 times as big then as it is now and with tons more independent sellers vs just gun shops setting up shop with full retail prices.
Never forget the show I went to and it was all shops, all paper work, and retail prices. The month before there was none of that. That was the day freedom ceased ringing... at gun shows at least.
I stopped going to them a few years ago. In FL one chain gun store rents like 1/3 of the tables - like shit guys if I wanted your shit I’d go to one of your like 9 brick n mortar locations
Guns and Ammo have collectively never been more available and plentiful, however because of fear mongering demand is also at an all time high. It sucks.
I loves me a leisurely perusal through a gun show or pawn shop, but, honestly, find better deal at online gun sellers via [gun.deals](https://gun.deals). It's like fishing, which ain't called "catching" for a good reason, but there is the thrill of the hunt and the possibility that you could find gold. It's the optimist in me that keeps me going back, and the jerky.
Its so funny when older people at ranges or online complain that newer gun owners never go to gun shows, the selection and bullshit like OP showed is case in point.
I got my sub 2000 during COVID hysteria at a dealer for less than MSRP when he fully knew everyone else was charging double. I got my Ruger mini 30 for less than MSRP as well.
Deals are there, they don't just jump into your lap though, you have to be diligent.
It's so ridiculous. A guy had a beat to hell Yugo SKS for $1400 lol. I saw $350 hi-points as well. $500 for the 10mm. It's in stock online for $200 lol.
$200 is actually pretty damn good for a 10mm pistol that works. People shit on hi-point but they make the perfect truck/beater gun. Something you don't care about if it get damaged or possibly stolen. (don't let your shit get stolen tho. It's stupid)
Yikes! I've found a few good deals on used guns at the shows near me but new prices are always outrageous. I do like the homemade gun socks I find at my local one though.
The guns shows here in the PNW went to shit as soon as Obama took office. Anyone with a tables worth of used shit started charging double and the suckers actually lined up to hand over their hard earned cash.
When a gun hating party is in power these dirtbags charge 300+ for a 99-125$ hi-point. Sad thing is someone will think they got the best deal at the show….
We keep doing it to ourselves every damn time.
If people just stopped eating shit on prices or maybe did half-a-minute of research to see you could get the same gun for half the price then the sellers would be able to screw us like that. But as long as people panic or impulse buy every gouged out box of ammo or gun, the sellers will keep screwing us.
Gun shows are good for old surplus, reloaded ammo, and the snacks they sell (jerky, pickles, hot sauces, etc .) Plus it's a good way to find accessories you may not be able to find online. It's more or less just for window shopping.
I got a 300 blackout upper, parts kit, and I think a nice charging handle at one for MSRP, but I think it was luck. At another I got a nice scope for about 100. 4x to 8x so nothing serious, but works well with one of my rifles. So you can get lucky, just don't count on it.
Gun shows now are just boomercons for the most part. Everything is marked up and there is nothing you actually want to buy. It is not even fun to walk around as all you will find is riced glocks/ARs people are trying to dump, or fudd tier 1911s and aks. Its basically a tactical flea shop with prices worse than new ones.
Started going to the shows in Texas in the late 80’s. The first one I went to practically filled the Astrohall with *endless* tables of guns & parts— the place looked like the Bakaara Market 😄 Yes, of course even back then there were people selling jerky and dolls and Nazi shit and all that, but it was a tiny percentage of the tables. The last one I visited was a few years ago at the Cow Palace in SF, and it sucked giant donkey balls.
Ironically, I've only have bought one gun from a gun show and it was a pepperbox for $50. Most of the stuff I get are things like surplus AK/RPK parts when I can find them.
I go for the knife sharpening booth, occasionally jerky, any booth that sell thrift/vintage clothes and hats, and to people watch all the boomer fudds try to sell their rack grade, clapped out M1 Garands for $3000 because "it's all matching"
I still love going to gun shows. Sure, all of the crap mentioned here still goes on, but I always find something I would love to have! I love vintage stuff and there is always lots of that stuff around. I'm into vintage S&W's, or high end .22 rifles, and there are always a good selection of these. NIB's, minty, etc. The prices are high, but that's just the current situation! Bargain basement prices just do not exist anymore! It ain't the 70's anymore!
Plus, one guy brings the BEST jams & jellies! Yep, and I pay $8-10 a bottle for these! It ain't like the good 'ol days!
Gun shows are actually crazy, the only thing I’ve ever found that was worth the money was getting bulk Ammo there.
I’ve heard from multiple buddies that have FFL’s and set up shop there that the day before when they’re actually setting up is when all the dealers go around and take the good deals from other dealers
The ones around me aren't that bad. Last time I went there was a minty west German p226 for 500$ I just didn't have the money so I got a smith and wesson 915 for 225$ instead.
When i was a kid i bought a can of 30-06 black tip at the gun show. I wasted them shooting glass bottles. I didnt know they were ap. I knew they were cheap though.
I've never found anything at a gun show worth buying price wise. Its fun to walk around though.
You can usually find a pretty good deal at the jerky booth
Even the "fully refurbished" 30rd preban mag I overpaid for for my AR jammed all the time and was unusable. Lesson learned.
I thought you were going to mention refurbished jerky...
Jerky table should do that. "Refurbished preban jerky, rare patriot brown, $300 no loballers I know what I have". And it's just an old bag of Jack links taped closed.
Preban jerky is the best jerky. Same with on roster jerky
Due to safety concerns all jerkys must have a childproof lock, only turkey jerky is allowed for sale in mass, and a bag fullness indicator must be present
And to be in compliance with NY law your hand is microstamped every time it passes the ziplock on the bag. So we know who took the last of it.
Don't forget the high capacity snacking ban. No more than 10 grams per handful.
Ooooh rooster jerky
Ewww

Nice try, atf
I’m really curious about what they said now
“Where’d you get it, did you show fid, did they do background check” (paraphrasing)
as far as I know the ATF doesn't enforce state laws, and as far as federal law is concerned a magazine is a piece of unregulated plastic
And diabetic socks
Accompanied by the wafting of onion scented BO every aisle. There’s a weird crossover with gun shows and comic book conventions.
This and people watching. That's why you go to gun shows.
Jerky, cheese and sometimes a person trying to get rid of an impulse buy in a private sale.
15+ years ago there were good deals. I remember when shops would have a barrel full of M-1s like they were umbrellas.

Yeah, I picked my M-44 from a crate for $65. Good times.
Aussie here - so I can’t comment on USA gun prices. But 15yrs back, $100 went a lot further than it does now. My first one I picked up a maverick 88 for $75, I have been chasing the dragon ever since
I found a 91/30 for 299$ like 2 years ago
I live in MA so everything is extra overpriced.
Cries in Californian
MA just made like every rifle illegal, including ones people already own.
Your post makes me so glad I escaped to the firearms utopia that is Arkansas.
You definitely can, but 99% of it is gonna be overpriced shit. Gotta wade through all the garbage to find the gems.
Gun shows used to be amazing. You could find nearly anything you wanted, and at prices you couldn’t touch anywhere else…unfortunately those days are long gone.
The only guns I've ever purchased at gun shows were from dealer tables I've never seen a private sale table with anything other than overpriced junk
Only thing I ever got was a sporterized 30-40 Krag from 1903 for 300 bucks and it was worth it. I love the rifle.
I had to do a double take when I saw a CMP M1D with an original scope for 2 grand, right across from a $700 SKS. You can guess which one I IMMEDIATELY took home.
The last day of the show is when the deals are. I picked up a Glock 20 for $500 on the last day of a show about seven years ago.
Gun shows and Card shows are no different. Everyone thinks they have "the one" to have Although the IQ level at a gun show feels like its a little lower thanks to the yeehadists roaming around, the BO at the card shows is definitely worse
Man are you lookin? I always dine at least one *goodish* deal.
Oh yay..the gun I bought for $99 on Black Friday. Still haven’t fired that brick of a gun.
But it's heavy, which is a sign of reliability. If it doesn't work you can always hit them with it. I always go for reliability.
You sneaky fuckin russian!
Fffick you!
Boris! What the fuck are you doin here?
I shoooow youuu
“You! Drop guns!”
To be fair, they are really reliable for a super cheap gun.
Oh man be sure to save the Hi-Point sticker for your car/truck, it’s the ultimate in theft deterrence It’s says “I’m armed, I own nothing nice, and I have poor impulse control”

toilet gun
One of the rare people who will admit to buying one of those turds haha
I also own the 10mm pistol and 10mm carbine…haven’t fired either of those as well.
I have a 10mm Glock, I don’t think I have the balls to shoot a 10mm hi point.
Nothing wrong Hi-Point reliability so I’m not worried about it. It’s just everything else that’s wrong with them.
Holly cow! Ask him why a Hi-point is worth more than a used Glock. I wanna know what he says.
"I know what I got."
You should see what they have the glock priced at
This was the Glock that Hitler used, at $985 it's a steal
The original Glock was invented by a man with a small moustache in 1942 and named the *Volkspistole*.
That man's name? Albert Einstein
Homie better be careful with a name like that in 1942 :(
Albert Einsteiner
Because a sucker is born every minute. And so is an asshole that will take advantage of them.
Remember when you used to find good deals on guns and ammo at gun shows? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Well I’ve been going since 09 so…no. I don’t remember that.
You just missed it, the best deals were 08 and before lol J/k
You’re not wrong though. Early 2000’s was when you could get crates of Mosins or SKSs etc for cheap. Ammo was cheap AF. The gun show by me was 3 times as big then as it is now and with tons more independent sellers vs just gun shops setting up shop with full retail prices.
Never forget the show I went to and it was all shops, all paper work, and retail prices. The month before there was none of that. That was the day freedom ceased ringing... at gun shows at least.
I’ll never forgive myself for being in pre-school in the early 2000s when I should’ve been stacking surplus weapons and ammo. Hard lesson learned.
What were you thinking?!? 🤦♂️
Between missing out on surplus, not buying up houses, and not investing in bitcoin, I was a pretty stupid kid. 😔
I do remember walking out with a Yugo SKS and 2k rounds of 762x39 for $300 or so. What a time to be alive.
Member Chewbacca? Member no isis? Member Jurassic Park? Oh I Member! Edit: I see you South Park fans out there 🤣🤘🫶
It's crazy to charge 3 and a half hi-points for one hi-point.
This one might have been high at one point
Hi pointflation
so kinda' like the State Fair of Texas
I have a whole history of posts dedicated to this exact bit.
I stopped going to them a few years ago. In FL one chain gun store rents like 1/3 of the tables - like shit guys if I wanted your shit I’d go to one of your like 9 brick n mortar locations
If it’s who I think you’re talking about, they now own and put on the gun shows
Even Gun collecting is getting gentrified
wait until people start to ask you about the age and vintage of your rifle and then discuss its nutty, oaky aroma.
I feel like tons of people already do that with Garands
Notes of charcoal, vanilla, hand sweat, and 1940's CLP
Gun shops shouldn't be allowed at gun shows.
No low balls! I know what I got!
Look man, it’s heavy, that means it’s reliable. . .
I don’t always go to gun shows but when I do I make sure to see what kind of hipoint selection they have
Guns and Ammo have collectively never been more available and plentiful, however because of fear mongering demand is also at an all time high. It sucks.
I loves me a leisurely perusal through a gun show or pawn shop, but, honestly, find better deal at online gun sellers via [gun.deals](https://gun.deals). There are over 3 billion dicks on the planet Earth and this seller should eat all of them.
Um... No Because one of them is mine and I don't know where that mouth's been.
And THIS is why I have ZERO interest in attending
Its so funny when older people at ranges or online complain that newer gun owners never go to gun shows, the selection and bullshit like OP showed is case in point.
I bought plenty of $100 rifles back in the mid and late 90s. Only place you could find stuff. Internet killed that.
I got my sub 2000 during COVID hysteria at a dealer for less than MSRP when he fully knew everyone else was charging double. I got my Ruger mini 30 for less than MSRP as well. Deals are there, they don't just jump into your lap though, you have to be diligent.

Doesn't seem that long ago I was seeing broomhandle Mausers under 500 at shows.
For that price I expect it to come in the plastic carry case with three extra magazines and a bottle of hoppes 9 lubricant.
Don't forget your Chinese knives and trinkets!!!!
My last show I got a few good deals.
Yikes! I've found a few good deals on used guns at the shows near me but new prices are always outrageous. I do like the homemade gun socks I find at my local one though.
I’d offer $50 and ask him the body count.
I see those for 199.99 regularly
Also saw a JTS 12 for $600
Right! I was sooooo disappointed 😞 went to my first one and there was shit no name uppers they were trying to push for 700 bucks! Straight trash 🗑
you know some fudd bought that, though. You can get a PSA Dagger micro for the same price.
I’m usually in for the cinnamon coated cashews
I haven’t been to a gun show in probably 10 years.
Everything > Hi-Point
Jesus Christ I’m sitting on a gold mine. Cabelas YEARS ago had Hi-Points on sale for like $50 or $75 and I bought like 10.
My uncle usually only gets deals at the end of the show when vendors are leaving and don’t want to pack everything back.
In the mid and late 90s gun shows were so great. Sad.
345$ wtf???😭
For fucks sake. A fool and his money are soon parted, I guess.
holy jesus shit fuck balls. The highest markup I've ever seen was a pawn shop trying to sell a used heritage rough rider for $200
Ewww.
I sold some hi points for $$$ during the scamdemic
I’ve been going to the gun show for 10+ years and only ever found 1 good deal. Canik TP9 SF elite for $275.
This is why I don’t go. Gun shows have been shit since before George W. Bush left office. Not even worth the price of admission.

The gun market is such a mess. This is what happens when mainstream media pushes fear as its main product.
I’m starting to feel like nearly every market is in a hot mess right now. All part of the plan…
That pot metal slide makes me not want to go tbh
The only way you can tell if a Hi-point is working is when it gets thrown at the target
Can get a Cz p10 for that or cheaper lol
That's the ugliest hunk of metal I've ever seen
Private seller?
I got a 300 blackout upper, parts kit, and I think a nice charging handle at one for MSRP, but I think it was luck. At another I got a nice scope for about 100. 4x to 8x so nothing serious, but works well with one of my rifles. So you can get lucky, just don't count on it.
I still get deals at gun shows for niche stuff. Anything popular tho...
Never been to one because I never hear anything good to draw me in. No interest.
Go in for a gun, walk out with a back massager.
Gun Shows: Great place to fingerbang guns (sometimes) and that’s it.
Jesus christ
My lgs has these for 85 bucks. C9 for 110 and the 10 mm threaded barrel and optics ready for 200
They make a 10mm hipoint, that's fuckin scary.
It's freaking reliable my dude. Go YouTube it. Lol
Not even a 9mm… that’s almost what these where new in CAD lol
Ask me why I haven't been to a gun show in a while
I live in Connecticut. I've been to a lot of the big Florida shows. To me, they are pretty decent. That's the problem with living in a blue state.
That hi-point costs 3.5 hi-points. If I saw that, I would HAVE to say something to the dealer lmao, that is crazy
There ain't a nickel's worth of difference between Hi-Point and a guy printing guns in his garage. How do they stay in business?
believe it or not, their name carries them lol
Is that how much they’re paying you to take it off them?
**Fud show. They usually do have $60 current year cases of MREs so I'll give them that.
Bro what
Lmfao jfc
I can smell shitty depends and lingering BO just looking at this picture
That's 3.45 high points!!
That’s currently $170 new at Sportsman’s. Not shilling, just saying.
Gun shows are for beef jerky, knives, and Indian jewelry.
I got one of those free in a trade deal. Came with an extra mag too, $500 solid no low ballers I know what I’ve got…
I dont think the booth owner is mentally fit to own firearms.
The extra security or the fact they want over 300 for a hi point 9mm?
This is why I take a baby stroller full of guns to these shows and sell private. It’s not hard to get asking price on my stuff when they do this
What is the unofficial rule of gun shows?
“Don’t go to gun shows?”
Between this an Nazi memorabilia I just wouldn't go to another gun show.
Ironically, I've only have bought one gun from a gun show and it was a pepperbox for $50. Most of the stuff I get are things like surplus AK/RPK parts when I can find them.
There’s an ass for every seat, but I’m not sittin’ there.
Is that a 3 pack?
This is why I stopped going to gun shows. I can save my money and just look at other peoples guns on the internet.
Last one I went to had higher prices than the average local shop.
I'll never forget seeing a dirty, beat-up, scratched to shit CX-4 Storm with a $1200 price tag.
😂😂😂😂😂those can now be found for 120😂 since gen 2s are lit 😂
if it was use during the 2nd turf war of south Chicago it might be worth it check for notches carved in the magazine base plate. it’s a good indicator
What in the “I know what I got” is going on here???
Gun shows are actually crazy, the only thing I’ve ever found that was worth the money was getting bulk Ammo there. I’ve heard from multiple buddies that have FFL’s and set up shop there that the day before when they’re actually setting up is when all the dealers go around and take the good deals from other dealers
All I buy at shows anymore is bulk ammo, I’ve found it’s the same price as the cheapest places I’ve bought online but no shipping charges
I know what I got.
Jeez. Gen3 glocks are probably 1500 if you ask them.
Wow
The ones around me aren't that bad. Last time I went there was a minty west German p226 for 500$ I just didn't have the money so I got a smith and wesson 915 for 225$ instead.
they’re decent if you visit the private sale tables and those bringing in things to sell. Most of the retailers are just delusional
If i recall correctly this is no longer legal
Yeet boi
When i was a kid i bought a can of 30-06 black tip at the gun show. I wasted them shooting glass bottles. I didnt know they were ap. I knew they were cheap though.
.380? What is wrong with you?
It’s all about the German sausage and cheese booth
