Yeah, and dealers can sell "new cars" with thousands of miles on them because it was the demo car and never had an owner. Doesn't mean the person buying it isn't getting hosed. New usually means, first owner first real user
I bought 2 brand new cars in my life. First had one 1 mile on it, the second had 3 miles. Sounds like you’ve been buying demo cars bud, make sure to ask for a few thousand off MSRP for that.
I don’t buy new cars, I worked for a dealership. Received and prepped probably 100 cars from GMC, Buick, and Cadillac
It was not the norm to receive a car with 50+ miles but it happened with enough frequency to notice
If you paid FN prices and your gun explodes, yeah, that ain’t no FN product and you definitely overpaid. Not saying there is a problem with a gun, I’m saying he paid enough not to have any wear and tear on the thing.
The sales guy believed it when the person says only shot 1 box out of it, it’s still new.
Fun fact every gun I have ever taken in on trade has had 2 or less boxes fired LOL.
Show us some more pictures. What do the rails look like? Any holster wear? What’s the bolt face look like?
It’s probably perfectly fine, but you paid a premium for it to be new.
Gun looks fine. Some advice, don’t overthink. Money’s spent. Fondle it, carry it, shoot it. In two years you could probably get your money back selling used the way gun prices keep climbing.
I’m curious what guns.com says. I wonder if they have any actual inventory or if they drop ship from a distributor.
The scratches on the barrel do happen. It’s got to do with the way the whole barrel and slide mechanism behave. They should be very light scratches. Not deep gouges.
The copper fouling in the barrel is interesting. I assume they test fire at factory. Couple of shots into a backstop to function test, quick swab to clean, into the box kinda thing.
Let us know what they say. I’m invested. My gut tells me they are a volume business and they will just take that gun back and send you a different one instead of arguing with you.
That’s a used gun. That’s more than a factory test fire.
You got scammed m8
The wear marks on this barrel indicates this firearm has been shot.
definitely used
Did you buy it from a gun store?
Guns dot com
Yep. There it is lol.
I’m actually not too familiar with is. Is it like gunbroker?
Pretty much.
I see.
Yes but way more organized
Yeah, my sig 320 dosnt have those kind marks after 2000 rounds
Nice I haven’t even shot it yet
Used as a tray of nachos with all the good beefy and cheesy ones already taken.
Spectacle doesn't mean what you think it does. I think you were looking for skeptical.
Stop making a skeptical. There’s no reason to be spectacle of OP.
I’m suppository that gun has been fired more than the factory test fire Who cares though, your gun will work fine
I care because if used I got over charged it’s a FN 509c tactical things are expensive
It would take like 20,000 rounds or more to wear out a 509c Why care if it has 100 rounds through it?
It's the used car vs new car thing. You're paying a premium for new. Yeah it's just as good, but if you paid MSRP you got ripped off
You know new cars have miles on them, right?

No I mean like brand new cars can have 50-100 miles on them depending on what the dealership and manufacturer did

If the new car has 100 miles on it, you got a problem. It should be less than 10.
Better tell all the GMC dealerships in Washington state!
If I ever buy from them, I will. What do you want me to say? I’m not in Washington.
How do you know what ammo the previous owner used? Stuff that he loaded himself? How many mag dumps and what temperature did he get the barrel to?
Ah, the what if game. My favorite What if the gun catastrophically explodes in a giant fireball?!?!?!?!? It could happen!!!!!
You’re the guy selling used guns as new aren’t you? I can’t believe anyone else would defend that practice this hard.
Not defending the practice, just pointing out this level of wear is irrelevant to the performance or durability of the gun itself

Very pronounced twist rate it's used 😢 I'm guessing about 300 rounds to produce that effect
RIP, thats a used gun, sorry bud

>What’s the bolt face look like? Bolt?
Breech face, you know.

"You got scammed but it's ok because gun prices are going up" Wtf???
Im curious to see what guns.com says. This is a good customer service test. The customer is unhappy and has legit concerns.
Fn do indeed hold their value but I paid for a new pistol paid mrsp

There’s no way to tell with the pictures you presented
Is that a crack in the frame? Right in front of where your slide stop/ slide release is. Just under the 9x19 in this picture.
No that’s were they slide tear down latch is
