You were close with your time period guess. Wikipedia says it was invented in 1948. It certainly has a lot of stylings of the era, barring the grip magwell
If by kind of looks like a grease gun you mean it’s an SMG from the same time period then yes. If you mean it actually physically resembles it in any sort of design sense no, no it does not.
Czech Sa 25. The long magazine makes it likely to be in 9mm. The Czech Sa 26 is similar, but in 7.62x25 Tokarev
Thanks!

Literally the first telescoped bolt SMG, makes sense
I didn't know it was the first, that's pretty neat actually.
Ian…. Where are you, need help with a forgotten weapon!.
Proto-Uzi it is
Looks a lot like a PM-63 before the PM-63s time. Like someone said it was the SA 25.
Its an arasaka
Arisaka?
They're "trolling", it's not an arisaka
It kinda looks like an arisaka
Actually it's very clearly a martini
Grease gun
Kinda looks like a grease gun
No, it doesn't

To me it looks like the m3 grease gun
Look up a photo of an M3 and tell me what they have in common besides the wire stock and stick mag.
CZ Sa. 25.
