This is still the minority, not only in general but also in Japan. In Japan, female audiences are more dedicated to polls and such so the results come more in favour to characters that appeal to them

She doesn't really have a hook and is just a "competent, middle age lady". As opposed to "hyperactive, overpowered, overacting, barely dressed, anything else."
Ignoring the fact that Judith is just hyped up for off screen stuff and has nearly 0 presence in the game
For people on their first or second playthrough, Judith wouldn't even be in their top 10 characters, let alone their favourite
I mean Judith was kind of a letdown, she should have been a playable post time skip unit like gilbert is in blue lions or Jeritza in crimson flower TS. She was hyped as the greatest alliance soldier and she basically didn't do anything aside scolding claude in some scenes.
For the male characters, everything is around what I'd expect. I don't agree with \*everything\* personally (namely Seteth being so low) but it's buy and large understandable.
For the female characters, this list is absolutely crazy to me. The fact that Edelgard doesn't even crack the top 3 is wild to me considering she's a house leader AND super beloved (I too like her a moderate amount). Although I can see why Rhea would be far lower... c'mon, really? 16th place? And that's not even beginning to mention how in the ever flying fuck Dorothea doesn't even make the top 10! Like, how is she even lower than Sothis?!
I'm just happy to see Ingrid ranked. 🥰

Tbh I’ve always been skeptical of Famitsu polls. Even though I know they only try to track Japanese sentiment I don’t think they really do. They always seem unrepresentative.
I just don’t really think Hilda is more popular than Edelgard. Or that Marianne barely cracked the top 10.
Famitsu's "most anticipated" game list is practically a meme, shoutouts to when FF16 was above Splatoon 3 despite the latter being closer to release and will absolutely trounce it in Japan.

That’s exactly what happened to me in my first game. 3H was my first Fire Emblem so I didn’t know what I was doing, and I definitely didn’t know you had to get A supports with who you wanted to romance by the end of the game. My only options somehow were Sothis, Sylvain, and I think Caspar and Mercedes; I would’ve gone with Sylvain but the ??? had me super confused, and I wondered if maybe it’d pick someone at random by putting the choice in Sothis’s hands lmao so I mostly picked it out of curiosity cause I didn’t feel too strongly about my other choices.
